Award-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid has reacted to his former label boss, Banky W’s recent comments about his absence at his wedding.
Banky W and Adesua Etomi who back in 2017 hosted one of the most talked-about weddings in the entertainment world were guests at Ebuka’s BlackBox Bounce interview series.
The singer-turned-politician had revealed that he was disappointed with the former EME signee over his absence at his wedding.

The question is can WizKid venture to abandon a 5 album deal if it is his present American Record label, RCA without serious legal and career repercussions ? The answer is no. If we really want the music industry to grow in Nigeria our artists and the music executives should learn to respect contracts.

Yes you can.. and what was the ramification ? Wizkid left with NOTHING… he deal was slavery anyways and not legally recognised. According to the interview I watched. There was EME before Wizkid joined. They all contributed and all made it . I’m fact Wizkid made it what it is, without him as you can see , it’s non existent so Wizkid is the meal ticket. You cannot compare some jungle record label to SONY music with proper accountancy, legal team, A&R publishing, distribution , marketing to some Nigerian label. Literally everyone in Nigeria has a record label so I hear 😂😂😂

The court also ordered Mega The Stallion to honour her Four- record deal. None of them called it Slavery deal. By the way, why are you calling a legally registered company , EME ,a jungle label? @@bafeiles well from what I know, contracts can be unconscionable? I suspect EME never lived up to expectations too. From what I hear, the boy was a star after Superstar album but with nothing from the label. If he made that album and still had to buy his own car from his own pocket, then the label does not exist. Which yeye 5 album deal be that? If it wasn't a really unconscionable deal, I doubt Banky would have let go? I am quite certain Banky knew he already had a classic to chop for a long time in the Superstar album. I am suspect Wizzy left all the royalties to that Superstar and the second album to Banky for him to say he left broke. That is more than 5 albums.
