I remember playing this song at the eighth grade graduation ceremony. Coincidentally this was also before my middle school program decided to move to a different school so that was the last performance that we would have as a group. To top it all off, my best friend would end up moving to Florida a few weeks later but we didn’t know yet. Our band Director combined the band with the orchestra. The crazy part is she had us rap when we were supposed to rap. The one percussionist that we had playing on The person on drum set kept time pretty well, but it was so clear to me and my friend that some kids just didn’t know how to rap. In fact , If I were in the audience I would have recorded and captioned the video as “top 10 rappers Eminem was afraid to diss”

Even though I played it only a few weeks ago, I miss playing this song. It was very emotional and it’s a beautiful song; and I expected to cry but didn't. It was very fun but sad at the same time, as we played it for the 8th graders during their graduation ceremony. But now I am an incoming 8th grader and I will miss all the 8th graders next year! ❤
