Thank you, Thanh! For some reason I am unable to reply directly to you so I hope you see this reply. I'm actually not memorizing the song. I'm looking at music. I could memorize it but since I like to work fast, I don't bother trying to memorize it. In terms of what steps I take to improve, my strength is learning by ear. So when I'm arranging the music, being able to hear the song over and over again actually helps me to get into the right mood for recording the song. In terms of technique, I'd say that it's the years or practicing that has helped with my technique today. When I was studying in college, I played many other pieces that are way more difficult than this. So when I play something like this, I'm able to focus on enjoying the moment instead of focusing on technique. Hope this answers your question!

Andre Baroni I use this audio interface: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoS5hIiumMt-l8U If you don't know what an audio interface is, I'd suggest doing some research online before investing in one. They can be complicated to figure out. I'm lucky that I had a friend who I can call for help when I'm lost. And youtube has lots of helpful tutorials. But it can get frustrating sometimes... haha
