important! the total length of our thread for the earring is about 2.2 m. For the upper part of the earring, it takes about 60 cm, the rest of the thread is used for beaded fringes

Well this is good to read after my 4th time of starting the first part of the project, nearly completing it and having to cut it all up and get a bigger string, then finish it my 4th try and realize the 60cm was only for the top part and not have any string at all on the other end for the fringes 😭 that is very hard to see in the video, and I’ve been trying to make this for several days now. Oh well, it’s such a pretty pattern. I’ll just be trying it again.

It's so much faster and easier to start from the top and work your way down doing brick stitch. if you start from the top, you don't have to worry about too many threads bulking up at the bottom when you add the fringes. I have been beading earrings this way for over 35 years and have made and sold hundreds and hundreds of earrings.
@BeautyBeadsLand2 жыл бұрын
hello. this is good. this is your way. I show how I work. I am comfortable with this option as I show. I do not like to drag a three-meter thread through the entire weaving when a meter and a half of it is intended for pendants. my twenty years of experience with beads in different weaving techniques gives me the right to choose exactly how I work. each needlewoman will try both your weaving method and mine, and even the way when weaving the first row and immediately pendants, and then the top. These are ways and variations. thank you for your opinion.and this is a good idea in terms of showing the viewers all three ways of weaving this type of earrings and then having tried all the ways, each one will choose the best for herself. everyone has his own path. Wish you all the best! have a nice day!

@BeautyBeadsLand2 жыл бұрын
Dear Dolly, each new row should decrease, the decrease is done as in brick weaving. Put the video in the speed settings - lower the speed so that it is convenient for you to see behind my hands. When we move to a new row, we pass the needle under the thread between the second and third columns of the previous row. Most likely the error is here. I wish you good luck with your beading. A little patience and you will succeed!

Well, made my first pair of fringe earrings. I think my tension of thread. Any suggestions to correct it.
@BeautyBeadsLand Жыл бұрын
Hello. do you mean that the earrings stick out, or that there are threads visible between the pendants and the upper triangle? when you make pendants, pull the last bead with one hand, pull the thread with the other, when the pendant is ready, you pull it with your hands several times, pull it out so that all the beads from the pendant lie exactly in their places and the whole thread is pulled out of the pendant. if the thread is beaded, then apart from looking for the correct thread tension during the manufacture of each pendant, there are no other recommendations. over time, you will quickly begin to feel how much you need to pull the thread, practice.

@@BeautyBeadsLand Can I also use the common thread? the one we all have at home 😊
@BeautyBeadsLand Жыл бұрын
@@TopoGigio-ih5fz First check how thin it is. pass the needle and thread 3-4 times through one bead, if the bead does not burst, then you can use this thread. the fact is that when we make pendants, we attach these pendants to the first row of our triangle (the top part of the earring). and sometimes the beads can burst when we try to insert a needle and thread into them again. when the thread is very thin, such incidents very rarely happen. therefore it is better to always use a thin thread with a diameter of 0.10-0.12 mm

@BeautyBeadsLand Жыл бұрын
If you use Chinese beads, don't be surprised, they are terrible. I use Czech beads, but they also leave much to be desired. Sometimes you come across such batches of beads that you have to throw out a third of the bag and it takes a lot of time to choose even beads from a bag. It is best to use Japanese Toho beads and Delica beads, they are the smoothest.

So how strong is the thread and why am I having trouble keeping it tight.
@BeautyBeadsLandАй бұрын
the thread is strong. beaded polyester with a diameter of 0.10 or 0.12 mm, you will understand the tightening force after several products made specifically from your thread

Thanks last question I've chosen 11/0 Miyaki seeds I couldn't find 10. They are 2mm and hole is 0.8mm I'm not sure what size thread and what type for them
@BeautyBeadsLand Жыл бұрын
@@capricorn2260 Yes that's right. I have Czech beads so number 10, Toho beads and Delica beads need size 11, they all have about 2mm size. For this model of earrings, you need to study on round beads, square beads are best used for peyote weaving, but not for fringes. Yes, it will work, but square beads are more difficult to put into smooth, non-protruding fringes. gain experience with round beads, then move on to square ones;)

@@BeautyBeadsLand Hi just to let you know the beads the miyuki beads I have are actually round ones many thanks for the advice tho really appreciate it. I couldn't find 10mm Czech beads.
@BeautyBeadsLand Жыл бұрын
@@capricorn2260 excellent, round beads fit very well. P.S. On the contrary, it is easier for me to find Czech beads, there are no Delicas in my city at all))

Thank U for sharing this. I just started learning on fringe necklace. So now I want to learn on the earrings. 😊 I have a dumb question to ask U. Is the Size 10/0 is bigger than 11/0 or am I wrong?
@BeautyBeadsLand2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! Yes, you are absolutely right, the number 10 of the Czech seed beads is larger than the number 11 of the Czech seed beads. But number 10 Czech beads are almost the same size as number 11 Toho beads). I use czech beads since that's what i can buy in my local shop, but toho and delica are also great for beaded earrings.) good luck with your earring learning! (P.S. I started with knitted cords - this is my separate great love, then I made beaded necklaces, a huge amount), for myself, for friends, for relatives), now I can’t stop making beaded earrings, I come up with schemes, I come up with designs, I buy schemes, about a huge number and scope for imagination). I love beads)))

Love the earrings and I really want to give them a go! We don't have the same supply in Sweden, the seed beads I can find are size 8, 11 or bigger, can I choose 11 then? What type of nylon thread is it and what size of needle should I choose please? 🤗
@BeautyBeadsLand2 жыл бұрын
Hello! use beads number 11, this is most likely Toho beads, it is even better than Czech beads, products made from Toho beads are very beautiful. about the thread, use a polyester thread, preferably a diameter of 0.1 mm, a beading needle - I use a beading needle number 12, but the main thing is that it is intended for beads.)

@@BeautyBeadsLand thank you so much for your quick response! ☺️🙏 Yes the store I'm looking at has TOHO and Miyuki. Is either of them to prefer in your opinion? Miyuki is a bit more expensive. I have zero experience in this area 🤣❤️ When to choose what thread to use in general when it comes to seed beads, is something to prefer most times? I've seen nylon and fireline in the few videos I've checked out...
@BeautyBeadsLand2 жыл бұрын
@@rebeccaledam7544 for earrings with fringes, it is better to use Toho beads, Miyuki is better to use for brick weaving and for peyote beading, but this is just my opinion). from a thread, for beaded earrings with fringes it is better to use a polyester thread, it is softer and the fringes fit better, less "stick out"))), BUT, this is only my opinion)))

How tight are you holding the thread? How do you keep the last beads together when you introduce the next set? I've made it to the 8 set of 2 and when I fail. I don't know if I'm holding the thread too tight or what.
@BeautyBeadsLand11 ай бұрын
Hello. do you have bead thread? if you repeat step by step after the video, then the beads do not fall apart, but are held on by the thread, we secure them. watch the video slowly, maybe you are making some mistake
@t_garza11 ай бұрын
@@BeautyBeadsLand okay so I think I was holding the bead thread too tight and because my fingers wouldn't hold the whole thing it came apart but I finished a whole row this morning
@BeautyBeadsLand11 ай бұрын
@@t_garza perhaps... I usually correct it in the process, tighten the thread until I add the next column, as soon as I add the next column, the previous one automatically holds well... if there is a lot of space left between the columns in the first row, then when adding pendants they will not be so fits neatly, but with experience everything will turn out much easier and faster;) Good luck to you!

Is rayon thread good enough to use for this? It's all I have at the moment and want to get into this type of jewelry making.
@BeautyBeadsLand2 жыл бұрын
hello. yes, you can try your thread. the main thing is that she could pass through the bead several times without breaking it. if the thread is thin, but there should be no problems with it. (only if it does not get confused, but you do not rush and straighten it, everything should work out for you).

Once you complete the top half, how do you "rethread" the needle to do the fringe? that seems to be skipped over and I don't intuitively see how to.
@BeautyBeadsLand Жыл бұрын
no, there are no rough transitions. just put in the needle that part of the thread that you originally left in the tail when you made the first row of the triangle. that is, when we pick up the first 4 beads, we advance them along the thread by about 80 cm, leave the long part of the thread for pendants in the tail, and we ourselves make a triangle. if you cut the thread for the pendants, then just add an extra thread. there is a video with the addition of an additional thread that may come in handy kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHTUiIiAityjrJY
