According to one of the comments and novel, it was outdated but Shinn made it perform to its maximum to the point that it started overheating which I believe was illustrated with the glowing red parts on the joints, which are the most physical moving parts in a gundam.

Destiny is a beast once more again 🔥. The spec 2 with hints of Rey’s colors are a nice touch, reminds me of SRW V’s version of Shinn who despite losing his best friend, Rey still remains by his side in spirit in the end scenarios. Arondight being white is also poetic too, Shinn’s sword and most trusted weapon is in the colors of his late best friend’s color, symbolizing Rey’s position as Shinn’s most trusted and right hand man. In a way, Rey is still fighting alongside Shinn . And I think that’s pretty neat for a small detail in the movie ☝️.

I'm glad we got the novels. They explain why Shinn trusted Rey to be his moral COMPASS and followed him despite all his doubts. A lot of people questioned whether Rey really was Shinns friend. Well he was. And the writters so screwed up when they killed him of. There is even 4 page alternate reality comic in which Kira and Athrun offer Rey to come with them and convince him to try to live again. They take him to Ethernal where he reunites with Shinn and Luna. Shinn is so relived that his best friend whom he thought gone is okay and cries of relief whilst hugging him. Luna is also happy he's alright. Rey, after overcoming initial surprise, realises how much Shinn and Luna care about him and cries of joy, seeing he has things worth living for. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 This is what we would've had if I were in charge. Poor writting is every great shows bane.

Something to consider to add is that the Destiny Spec_II uses the mirage colloid just like the Testament which has the Quantum Computer Virus Transmission System. With the Destiny flying around spreading the Mirage Colloid particles, it's actually spreading the virus to infect enemy MS and this allows some dozen after images while the enhanced Voiture Lumiere can create several duplicates. As for the Zeus' Silhouette Striker Pack, the main cannon could be the same Hyper Impulse Beam Cannon from the ZGMF-X11A Regenerate Gundam. Considering what's seen from the movie, a lot of the technology could had come from Lowe's Junk Guild Genesis-A station and likely that Lowe made the upgrades to the SpecII MS. I don't think that the Zeus' cannon is ballistic since if it's just a single physical round, it couldn't have hit multiple ships as seen on the movie. It looks more like Wing Gundam's Buster Cannon or a very powerful beam that could be focused or as a shot gun since the barrel's going to be replaced anyway. So again it looks more like it's the Regenerate's Hyper Impulse Beam weapon with the expendable barrel.

I know that Testament uses a mirage colloid participles to spread a virus to infect enemy MS. But I mean the novel indicated its a new thing called Dupe particles I don't think its a virus that allows them create after images on the sensor plus based on what I read about it takes control of the quantum machines of other MS. So I don't think this virus might relate to that.

Not much info about the destiny Spec ii and the Zeus silhouette has been revealed yet, all we know is that: It's Voiture Lumiere now spread DUPE nanoparticles, creating optical duplicates. It is the same nanoparticles used by the mighty strike freedom. The ammo type of the canon of Zeus silhouette has not been revealed yet, but considering that it takes cartridges it's save to assume it to be live ammo. The fact that in SEED's universe, beam weapon draws energy from the MS instead of something like an e-cap, pretty much explained it.

Just finished watching this. Shin's fight was amazing. It's seem like the 4 black knights triggered the berserker in him, but in speed instead of power. Considering those knights moved with after images, Destiny just disappear into space, leaving a few spark behind. The moment he destroyed the 3 black knights, he did it so fast that it felt like he did it at the same time. Shin grew so much in fighting capacity during the time after the end of SEED Destiny until SEED Freedom.

I just want to use this chance to point out why Shinn is the best. Pay attention. Amuro, Kamilie and Judau were 3 lucky guys born with blessings they honed as they fought, who got to their 1. machines by almost shear accident and special circumstances. Banagher had a family history. Setsuna was taken as a lil' kid and screwed up to the point he was only good for being an efficent, focused, non-chatty and disturbingly ideal soldier that doesn't think about anything other than completing the mission. Mika was created by the world around him and adapted to do what he needed for his and his comrades survival. He was fighting and killing since he could remember to his last stand. Shiro, Io and Kou were fully trained, professional and very gifted soldiers. Asunos were bassicly in a family bussines, and were in the posession of a powerfull archea-tech. Heero was prepared mentally and physichly. Hathaway was also born blessed, and started out early. Uso was the most blessed and was unknowingly prepared by his parents. His blessings developed faster than any other. Seabook was also a mix of luck and talent. Kira was born to be better, to be ultimate human being, to excel, to be perfect, to be above all others. Shinn, on the other hand, as evidenced by the novels, was an absolute 0. He had no talents or special abilities that improved over time. He was from an average family. Had absolutely no potential, talent or capability for combat. He was never a military type, not even now. He had no prep time. He was just a normal kid, regardless of the type of human he was. He wasn't born with some epic powers. He lived a carefree childhood before that fatefull day. He just set his mind to becoming a pilot and kept going, 1 little step at the time, kept losing, kept failing, kept weeping, kept working, kept fighting, kept going still, straight to this point. That is why he is the best. He is now a symbol. That no matter how hard and painfull things get, they, and you, can get better if you just keep going. That even if you suck at something, you can get better at it over time if you keep trying with unbreakable resolve. That you can create your own destiny if your spirit stays unbroken, if your resolve never falters, if you stay true to who you are. The GOAT of Gundam. I have no doubt it could take Rud-Ros and Shi-ve with Shinn as the pilot, albeit with some effort. He was practicly beating those 4 dorks all at once all over the place with them unable to graze, scratch or touch him. Their poorly thought of plan to get in his head and Hilda joining the slaughter only saved him some time he needed to plug that damn Logos-dug hole before it destroys Olofat. Now while I'm certain that with VL, that crazy speed, afterimadges and that new unbelivable duplicate ability he'd be able to handle Cal-Re in single combat fairly easily. Now all 6 at once, that would be pushing its and his luck.

For me, CE tries its best to be more grounded on its science compare to other Gundam series. Phase Shift Armor - Electromagnetic Reactive Armor Deuturion Beam - Deuturion is something like an extra particle in the atom or something The several Operating System of Mobile Suits, or more specifically the thrusters - Basically a learning computer, commonly found in Fighter Jets that corrects small flight adjustments to even performing more complex movements. Requiem beams - a very powerful microwave A very efficient Battery - still working theory but possible The Disruptor - Basically, a particle collider but stops anything more stronger than melted steel like a nuclear fusion explosion The Luminiere wings - something has to do with using leftover solar winds Mirage Colloid is one of the more confusing and complete sci-fi particle/gas that has a surprising lots of application rather than creating duplicates and invisibility. I guess, I can make the argument that gases can refract light but thats overreaching a bit.

It's actually because the enemy uses really advanced Anti-Beam technology hence the final battle is mostly close range combat with some long range to create distance, distractions, cover-fire or faints. The beam sabers Kira and Athrun uses is more potent due to the advanced Back support units efficiently diverting more power, especially the latter since I.Justice is meant to be close range fighter.

You know, I never quite understood how Impulse, Shinn's previous MS, was dismantled into its basic components in the hangar. The Impulse never deploys from the Minerva. It's always the Core Splendor first then the other two parts following shortly after. Shinn always returns to the Minerva in the Impulse, not in the Core Splendor.

On Earth, there's this treaty that doesn't allow any Gundam line of ms to be built nor deployed after seeing its deadly potential in Seed. So to bypass this treaty, Impulse was broken into three flying Silhouettes, since it would be recognized as such instead of a Gundam. While Shinn has deployed with the Impulse prior to SD, it could be only for experiments with the use of Zaku Splendor (Impulse's predecessor) or the former itself. The Impulse has its own special hangar in the Minerva, where it was actually implied that if there's more than one Impulse if combined on deck but during SD's timeline, the only capable pilot to actually use it was and only Shinn.

I think they should have given it a new core splendor with a 360 cockpit except it gets more human like motion like they did with Destiny gundam. Give it a the red inner frame so it can use Destiny Silhouette and dupe particles. Upgrade the shoulders to include beam boomerangs. Upgrade the physical shield so it has a beam generator built in like Infinite Justice with dragoon like feature. Skirt armor add two beam sabers where the knives were like replace the knives inside the skirt armor.

Deuterium is really just a buzz word and common term due to its being the most promising fission nuclear fuel(i.e. most numerous). . We havent established a profitable fusion tech in real life yet

I think the best we did was a reactor puts out a bit more energy than it took to initiate the fusion process, but there is still alot of peripheral stuff that require energy as well.

There are no fusion reactors in SEED. The hyper-deuterion engine is just the fusion of the ultra compact nuclear fission reactor and the deuterion energy beam transfer system.
