was cameron menzies the drunkest player so far? keeping that mansell interview firmly in mind, i think cameron pips the irishman with the drunk dartist in the pub routine he displayed consistently throughout the match. rolling eyes, floppy torso, cursing the heavens at a handful of missed ones at the 8/16 double zone plus much more, it was all there. entertaining stuff. Triple V not appreciating the, 'i fvking love you man' drunk-hug at the end of the match was a fittingly humorous conclusion lol

Gary could have won 3-0 I feel, but those ton+ checkouts from Razma were class. Another year of Wade not going far in this, will he ever win it? Only saving grace for him really is lack of prize money he earns from it so never has to defend it. Humphries made to work but did the job in the end. See what tomorrow brings

I've always said wade is good enough to reach a semi but never good enough to win. He's a top class professional given the longevity of his career, but I don't see him winning much. But who knows, perhaps he improves.

Gaz was great. He may not have had the greatest of seasons, but he always shows up for Ally Pally. Razma looked superb for a lot of that game, just undone by those misses for 2-1. I'm hoping that Anderson and Soots go deep. Love these two guys. ❤️

Especially when you're trying to focus and he just keeps annoying you with - well meant - chitchat. But as you mentioned, Vincent knows he's a good guy, but in this instance, he didn't get along with him

Felt so bad for him. He looks so angry, yet is just intensely focused. That smile is just pure respect for Gary though. But look at Razma missing that set lead dart there, gutted, angry, devastated, he KNEW he had a chance there.

@Suck It I don't think Wade is a contender and never has been (nor do I find it very surprising that he's out early, when he makes a longer run into the tournament he usually gets by with averages in the low 90's with a lucky draw against lesser opponents), but I found your challenge interesting nevertheless (it got me thinking: 'when did Wade have a decent WC?' In 2017 he had some decent averages beating Steve Beaton with a 99.39 average. Beaton was playing well that tournament and had 97.74 in that match. Then he beat Michael Smith in the 4th round (with a 94.01 vs 94.52) and lost to Wright in the QF with a 99.13 average (Wright: 104.79; 5-3, still fairly close). That was probably one of his better performances in the WC average wise over multiple games. His average for the whole tournament was 96.59, which is higher than his usual average at the WC (90-95), including the years where he made it to the SF (with a lucky draw).
