I put one of these to work as an ARGB controller. It's absolutely capable and can directly control WS2812b LEDs without a logic level converter. It can also directly power WS2812b LEDs from its 5v pin as long as you are only lighting a handful of pixels. I only have one complaint / request: Can you guys maybe make a version that supports power delivery negotiation for the 5v/vcc output pin? I couldn't find any documentation on what the maximum output current is on the 5v pin. Looking at the circuit diagram, it appears the XIAO only uses the USB 2.0 protocol and the 5v pin is guarded by a diode with a 500ma limit. With PD negotiation, you could potentially output several amps over the 5v pin, allowing you to drive long strings of LEDs without an external power supply. I do realize that implementing PD would be a substantial redesign, but you've got Bluetooth variants so PD sounds like the next big thing :)

There is No EEPROM, is there a way to save data before power down on this controller ?
@Dvance7 ай бұрын
You can add your own EEPROM chip to the circuit through SDA and SCL

Any touch pins?I think the esp32 chip crushes this.no usb not a big deal. We all have arduino unos somewhere in our house to configure the esp32 chip.

No, it's not, but it's compatible, a lot more powerful, a lot less expensive and if you think arduino boards are made in Italy you're a dreamer, nothing but a dreamer, oh no...
