Hi Jordan, Wow, you had a seriously BIG day, 100+! I liked the heron trio, the bobcat 🐱and the gnatcatcher, in particular. Great to see all those new seabirds, thanks to your guide Mark. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

I know this doesn’t have anything to do with birds, but I like the background music.

Glad you enjoyed the music! It's all from the same artist too! Chris Haugen is their name.

Definitely blessed to be a birder that lives in La Jolla. Your friend did a great job bringing you to the best spots. Sometimes living here I forget just how wonderful it is! It’s nice to see someone else’s excitement :)

You are truly in an amazing place for birds! I'm very jealous! Also, the weather is AMAZING.

Isn't it nice to go to a new state or country and get a bunch of lifers? How are you gonna survive going back to your old haunts and grinding out lifers slowly now? 🤣 Great video. Was nice to see your excitement over seeing some of these cool birds for the first time. The bobcat was VERY cool though.

Haha, I'm in CA for about 3 months of the year, so CA will slowly turn into that as well. The nice thing is that CA has WAY more birds to find! Thanks so much for watching! I couldn't believe we saw a Bobcat as well!

May I please ask about the difference between the Cackling Goose and the Canadian Goose other than size, being smaller and sturdier for the former………🧐🧐🧐🧐🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@MinePrincessAmea7 сағат бұрын
The cackling goose has a shorter neck! When you see them next to each other in real life it’s a lot easier to see the difference. The cackling goose almost looks like a juvenile Canada goose

You captured all of these great birds with a camera everyone can afford to buy. Other KZbinrs use $5000 to $10000 camera and lens setups to do basically the same thing.
@brighteyedbirding6 сағат бұрын
I appreciate it! YES! Nobody should feel deterred from wildlife videography because they can't afford a high-end camera! You can do amazing things even with budget friendly gear (that being said, I will be upgrading my camera to a $4000 setup in February, but the message remains true)

Awesome stuff! We’re going to San Diego next week and are wondering which part of La Jolla you went to.
@brighteyedbirding6 сағат бұрын
The hotspot is called Point La Jolla--seawatch. The full trip report is also linked in the description! Have lots of fun! The birds are incredible!
