Thanks. I added that to the text, and feel silly for not knowing it before.

Wembley is NOT the official stadium of the United Kingdom. Only of England.

I was at Providence Park, yes! Timbers won, 5-0, which made it that much better. The boys lifted six logs!

New Wembley looks nice but like all new stadium no real history, done tour, lived and worked near here our main office was near the stadium, shame they could not keep the old twin towers.. apparently progress.. The White Horse Cup Final in 1923, the Matthews Final, Bert Trautman in 56 playing with his broken neck, Sunderland doing Leeds in 73 and Wimbledon beating Liverpool and of course the boys of 66, when I was 11

You could say something similar about Northern Ireland because gaelic football is very strong and half the football supporters support Republic of ireland.I would say football shades it but gaelic or even rugby isn't far behind

@@gallowglass2630 Wales is a rugby country always has been, only recently has the football team average, Northern Island and Ireland play as one team in the 6 Nations etc, Gaelic Football, Hurling is unique to those in the South just like Aussie Rules in Australia. England and Scotland are dominated by the round ball game
@gallowglass26302 жыл бұрын
@@davidhoward5392 Hurling is largely a southern thing apart from the glens of antrim,but gaelic football is huge in NI ,it is confined to one section of the community unfortunately still,but last years champions were from NI tyrone and Derry and armagh brought huge support to dublins croke park this summer 25 000 and 30 000 respectively. Football would still shade it,but its definitely not as dominant as it is in scotland and england

@@gallowglass2630 I now live in Oz, the AFL and Gaelic league play each other in a hybrid game, feisty affairs.
