When my husband was killed in Baghdad, our daughter woke up & began talking to him as plain as day she said, “I miss you so much daddy.” Among other things. It was about 12 hours later that I got a knock at the door. And it wasn’t until I got his death certificates from Fed Ex that I got the significance of our daughter waking up. It was the exact same time (with time change factored in), that the roadside bomb went off. Down to the minute. I’m so glad he came to say goodbye to her.

@@jamie-r2034 I totally agree. A dear friend of mine just passed and someone that was standing by her bed said that as she was passing the brightest light shone in the room and they saw her standing in the middle of the light happy and whole. She had suffered from a brain tumor then leukemia for several months but when they saw her in the light she was smiling and no longer looked sickly. 💞

When my teenage son died his cat continued to behave as if he was still alive. Very early in the morning (he was an early riser) she would sit at the foot of the stairs waiting for him and meow as if he had come to the top step. Then she would trot to the kitchen and look over her shoulder as if waiting for him to catch up. She did this for several weeks after he passed.

When my dad was dying of brain cancer, I was only 8. He quickly lost his ability to speak but towards the end he would try to have conversations with “the angels” in his room. It was his mom and dad. And they both came for him a week before he passed. It was almost impossible to understand anything he said, even though he tried so desperately to speak. We could understand the word “angels”, “parents”, and “going home”. He passed in his sleep peacefully. He still visits me every now and then ❤

When my great grandma died, my grandpa started counting down the days until he saw her again. He knew how many days. He'd say "37 more days until I see my bride" "22 more days until I see my bride" one night he out his suit on and said goodbye to everyone at the care home and told them he's going to see his bride. He laid down and died. ♥

You know exactly what she was referring to, just because she forgot to add "Great" to Grandpa. But yet still had to click reply and take the time to ask such an obvious question " uhh sorry to ask but did your grandpa marry his mom?" I can almost hear the ignorance in your voice, its beaming from your comment. Geese what is wrong with people these days I swear 🤦‍♀️

My grandma always went south for the winter, and she sat with me just before her last trip and told me that this would be her last one. She said she was old, had done everything she wanted, and was ready to move on. When my grandmother returned that spring, she was not there anymore. She didn’t even know who I was, just said that that I was really good to her and took good care of her. She died 2 days later. She was 96, and I’ll forever be grateful that she and I had that conversation. ❤️

My grandpa passed away suddenly two years ago, leaving my nana alone with severe dementia. Two days after it happened, she looked at me Completely lucid, she knew who I was and addressed me by name and said “I saw Gene last night. He said don’t worry Maria, I’ll come for you”. She’s living her best life in a nursing home now, and I truly believe he came to her that night to ease her mind.

My father talked to me for several months about these two girls who visited him pretty regularly. He said one was fair and the other one dark and that they were there to help and for him not to be afraid. He said they told him they would never meet in this life but that they were family. One day I was hemming some pants and he asked me if the they would be ready by Monday because the girls were coming for him. He died the following Monday morning. The following year, my nephew had a daughter and not long after that my grandaughter was born, fair. They look just as he described them.

My Mom was in the hospital dying from cancer. I was 16 and my Dad had to run some errands before he came for our nightly visit, so I had gone to the hospital by myself. Mom was out of it and I just sat next to the bed quietly holding her hand. All of a sudden she jerked her hand away and sat bolt upright in the bed. Eyes open staring intently at the foot of the bed. It was as if she was listening to someone standing at the foot of the bed, speaking. Then she said, "Yes, I'm ready." She laid back down and was out of it. I sat there frozen unable to process what I just witnessed. A bit later a nurse came in and told me if I wanted to take a break and go for a walk she would be there for 20 minutes doing things. I left for a walk and by the time I got back my Dad was there talking with the nurse. The next day my Dad got a call at work in the afternoon that Mom had passed away and they needed him to come to the hospital. He came home about the time I got home from school and we went to the hospital. I was so freaked out I never told my Dad what happened. He wasn't that kind of guy. I never told anyone until after I was married for 10 years. My husband was very close to his Mom and I thought he would understand. He did. To this day I can only tell you what I witnessed and that I swear she was talking to something/someone I couldn't see. She said she was ready and she left the next day.

I totally believe this. I worked as a supervisor in a nursing home and there were many that would tell me that one of their deceased relatives come to see them. I also had the ones that refused to go until someone told them that it was ok to go, sadly sometimes that had to be me because their family never came to see them and we became their family. I think some of those were the hardest ones to say goodbye to.

My great grandpa was a sailor in ww2. He married my gram and they both loved and served The Lord up until they passed away. I grew up, got married and got pregnant with our first baby. I started bleeding at about 8 weeks and that night I had a dream I walked up to a house with a chain link fence. I walked through the gate, up the stepping stones to the white, one story farmhouse with a wide front porch. Standing on the porch was my gram, one hand on her heart, one hand on my Poppy’s shoulder. He was in his sailor suit, one foot on the ground and the other on the front step. Both of them were beaming down at a bundle of lace he was cradling in his arms. As I got closer they both looked up and just grinned at me. It was so real, I woke up crying. The next day I found out I miscarried. I know that my baby is in Heaven, held in the arms of my great grandparents ❤

My grandma was comatose for the last few days of her life, so I'm not sure what she experienced; however, as her dementia got worse, I know she saw my late grandfather. She'd say, "There's my guy!" and even hold up the covers for him to get into bed with her. She was so happy to see him. So much of her time with dementia was full of sadness as her personality changed - somewhat violent, argumentative, etc., that it was comforting to see her have happy memories.

🌟 Sorry for loss of your Dad. Mine passed unexpectedly and I experienced a very realistic dream that I entered my kitchen, saw wall of fog on opposite side. My Dad was there with arms extended on the countertop, back to me. He turned his head to right enough to see his face he was looking lost, and frightened. I still remember that I'd never seen that look on my dad's face. I wasn't afraid, only felt deep feeling to take care of him. Just like that, I said, You're dead now, Dad, you have to go. I don't know why I said that, no thought, like someone speaking thru me. Immediately I felt oh! But he vanished and fog began to subside, and I woke up. 40 years ago. 💫✨

I woke up at 4:00 a.m. and went to the window looking toward Heaven begging God to please make her well. Right then the most beautiful, magnificent shooting star I have ever seen went streaking across the dark sky. Looking at the star in total awe the phone rang- it was my grandmother telling us she just passed. It was my mother leaving me with the most amazing and beautiful thing I have ever seen and a feeling in my heart that’s indescribable.

Well, Catholic believe in God, Angels, and Saints. It's not surprising if a deceased parent, sibling, loved one in heaven comes to prepare you. Jesus and Mother Mary came for St Therese. Im sure Therese also saw her parents and siblings who had gone before. (Obviously demons as well, that's what the exorcist priests are for.)

When my dad had heart surgery, he said my brother came to visit him. That my brother said it wasn't his time, but wanted to let him know it was going to be okay. My dad was okay and lived another 10 years. I like to think that my brother welcomed my dad to the afterlife. Edit: I hope when it's my time that they both welcome me. I miss them so much.

I was in the hospital with double pneumonia and going downhill very fast. They moved me to the ICU because my blood oxygenation was down in like the 50s... About four days after I was moved to ICU my boyfriend whom had committed suicide 10 years prior and my best friend who was killed in a car accident 11 years prior both had come to visit me. They were both asking me to let go and come with them but from what the nurses said I was talking and telling nobody in the room that I didn't want to go in a very raspy and labored voice. After that... I spent another 5 days in the hospital and got better. Was really nice seeing them...but not my time..

My grandma passed away two weeks ago. During her last few weeks she kept on bringing up her friends from 20 years ago, and how she was seeing them. That was the first time I started believing In the afterlife. We reminded her that it was okay to go, and she heard us; she passed peacefully in her sleep later that night. One of the last things she said to me was "god is great" and "life is good." She was truly incredible, and it was amazing to grow up with such an amazing person in my life, that colored with me, did crafts with me, and most of all loved me. I'll see you later, and once I do I'll give you the biggest hug. I love you Grandma.

I work in an AL and one of our gentlemen when asked how his day was going told the caregivers that he had had a conference call with family and then spent the rest of the afternoon visiting with his brother and said that he had just left and asked if they met him in the hall. The caregivers said we must have just missed him because they hadn’t seen anyone. He passed away the next day. So, we were all sharing our favorite stories about him and the two that had taken care of him that day shared the story and how glad they were that he got to see his brother. Another caregiver who has been there for years said no way! His brother passed a few years ago. So yes loved ones do come to visit and help. I find comfort in that.

My grandmother just passed away. She suffered from dementia the last three years of her life. She often spoke of seeing angels, family members and pets that had already passed away. Some of my family members would fight with her and tell her she was seeing things, and they weren’t real. This really upset me. Dying or not, dementia or not, SHE was still seeing these things. She fully believed they were there. Even if we didn’t. However, I believe she was seeing what she was saying. They seemed to be there to help her understand and not be scared. I think our loved ones try to help us get ready to cross over. Which is beautiful and amazing. ✨💜✨

When my dad was passing in the hospital, (I can see and interact with spirits) my mom, who passed two years before, came to visit him. He was sleeping when she came. He woke up, looked straight at her and said out loud; “oh my god! You’re so beautiful!!” She appeared as she was when they first met, young and beautiful, and smiling at him. She took his hand and held it for awhile, while he looked at her and just kept repeating “so beautiful! So beautiful!” My daughter was sitting in a chair on the side of the hospital bed where my mom was standing, and I was sitting in a chair on the other side. Before my dad said anything, I saw my mom standing there, smiling down at him and holding the same hand my daughter was holding. I whisper/cried to her; grandma is here! She’s holding both of your hands! 😢😢😢😢😢 dad passed the next day. I miss the both of them so very much😢😢😢😭😭😭

Before my dear daddy died, even though he was extremely weak from not being able to eat, he kept raising his arm reaching for the ceiling. I asked him, "What do you want daddy? Can I get you anything?" He turned and looked at me for the last time and spoke his last words, "They won't let me touch them." Were they angels waiting for the right time? As mom lay dying she opened her eyes, stared into the distance and stated very clearly, "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful." She hadn't been able to speak for a long time from dementia.

My mom kept seeing faces in her last days. The hospice nurse warned us that this might happen. I asked her if they were all nice faces. She shook her head. I asked her then if she saw her beloved brother, who had passed away many years before. She said yes. I then told her to just focus on him and it would be alright. She ‘watched’ him moving about in front of her for several minutes before she peacefully went to sleep. She died two days later.

6 months after my dad passed, my boyfriend came into my bedroom for the first time (after 3 months of knowing each other). He paused in the door frame and kept looking at my window. When he moved inside after a few seconds, I asked why he stopped. He told me he saw a man sitting on open my window with a book. Then he started describing him. Light blue jeans, black formal shoes, a black jacket over a white shirt, with a red and yellow tie and a gold tie pin with 2 gems on it beside a V/place shape. Blue eyes, a receding hairline, bushy dark blond eyebrows and a solder watch. Reading a history book. He described my dad, his tie pin was custom made. Head never seen a single picture of him because I only had 2 and both were in my lower drawer with some stuff I kept. I felt a wave of heat on my forehead and asked him what did he do and my boyfriend said he closed the book when we came by, made a "Hi" sign by opening and closing his fingers over his palm instead of waving (something my dad always did) and jumped in, came to kiss my forehead then went out the window and disappeared. I was bawling after it happened.

That day, my son came in (seven) and was able to say good bye (which was really meaningful and I hope more children are involved in the dying process of loved ones when it happens) when my husband and children left the room I got time alone. I got to thank him for his love and the times we’ve had. I said to him “papa, I bet everyone is waiting for you. I bet your mama and daddy are there, the dogs, your brother and sister” he was mostly unresponsive before this but he took a big gasp of hair and squeezed my hand. So I said “It’s ok to go with them papa, I promise we will take care of nana and the house (my papa was always concerned about the state of the house and was fixing any concerns up until his death! I found him on the roof in his 80s trying to fix shingles. I almost had a heart attack 😅) I think he needed to hear that nana would be ok. I kissed his head and he passed peacefully just a few hours later. ❤ I miss him all the time still but I find so much comfort in my own knowing that we see loved ones again.

It’s really hard, but I know that God wanted him to be with Him. When his wife walked in and saw him, she didn’t want him to be on medication, or have all those tubes on him. True and True!!!!! As a nurse I can vouch for this. I have literally had conversations with people and their family members just to put them at ease. So many people don't believe but the one time that really made me believe was one of my patients was transitioning and I saw this BIG, BEAUTIFUL GLOW surrounding her and then about 5 people were standing at her bed with their hands out and she start calling everyone by name. All I could say was "Safe travels Mrs. Jones. Make sure you visit me sometime." The last time I saw a transition was my grandmother right after I had a facetime with her sisters that were too far to make it. They were trying to come see her but it was too late. She hadn't spoken a word in almost 2 weeks. But when my aunt said "Ok I love you sis!!" She said "I LOVE YOU DARLING!" That was the only thing she ever called her. She never said SIS, SISTER or her NAME. She always called her DARLING. THATS WHRN I KNEW SHE WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE. Her and her sister was thick as thieves and they always called each other twice a week. I think she was waiting for her sisters call before she left.

I helped take care of my grandma in her in-home hospice at the end... the whole extended family had finally arrived... we had all been nervous to leave her room, but her dog was happily laying with her. We all snuck out to eat the dinner that we had ordered... she passed by herself while we ate... The hardest part after that was having to take her sweet dog out of the bed, bc she refused to leave her... No one worry about the dog though! My second cousin and his GF at the time fell in LOVE with Emma Bear and she's been living her best old lady Pekengses life ever since! The gf moved a couple states away not long after for her job and I never thought I'd see Emmalemma again... Her job brought her back to KC and she brought her to see me at work a few weeks ago- (sadly she's an old doggie now and vets say her time is limited) But her momma said she perked up after seeing me after all those years!! And she's doing better now!

My father began talking to his sister who passed, then his brother who passed, then with an absolute look of joy in his face he said "well, Ma". I firmly believe they came to show him the way.

I live in London, one day I was going to work and as I approached I felt deeply sad and I couldn't get inside of the work. As I was walking around portobello Rd I sat down in front of a house entrance and started crying, I didn't know why, I called my friend, he gave me that man answer, wtf is wrong with you, put your shit together, etc... Then I called my wife, she said: Come home, we talk when you get here. My boss didn't stop calling, I didn't answered, because I didn't have any excuse to give. Next day, early morning I had a call from my best friend from Brazil , he said; Mate, sorry to tell you that your mother passed away yesterday, we were trying to reach you but... My floor ended, my legs gave up, I felt on the floor. She died at the same time that I was having that strange feeling. Miss her so much, it was in 2014. Sometimes we don't understand things, maybe we were not supposed to. But what I got it was anyone can go any time, since then, I'm trying to be the best I can be for those I love, I'm not shy to say every day I love you, how was your day, show appreciation, because I realised we don't know when the time will come. What hurts more is that 3 day before her death, she wanted to stay on the phone with me longer, I gave a stupid excuse that I was busy, we can talk more another time, I actually didn't have anything important, I lied, nit knowing that was going to be the last time we were going to talk to each other. Love you mum, and I'm so sorry for not staying a bit longer, I would give everything to hear your voice once again.

My mother in law passed away 9 months ago from a sudden brain aneurysms (she had 3 that ruptured) the day before they pronounced her BD. She called us. Her mother & sisters said her phone was not working all day and couldnt even recieve texts, nor could she speak to anyone. I believe she knew something and found the strength to say she loved us one last time. We then got the call the next day she was gone ❤️‍🩹 A month goes by and im in the kitchen otp with my grandma, crying to her about my mil amd i hear a woman say "hello" behind me. I know it was her ❤ it startled me at fist but she comforted me. I pray she will be waiting for us when its our time to go home 🕊🙏🏼🫶🏼 We miss her so much! I am truly sorry for everyones loss. ❤

My great grandmother had gotten cancer when I was about 9 and didn’t say anything about it. I was 15 and she had been admitted to the hospital. My grandmother woke up one night and started packing up bags so we could drive to Florida. In the car she said “your mother was in our room and told me to bring me her son” and my papaw started crying. She didn’t pass until EVERYONE was together, her son was the last person to arrive. Rest in heaven GG, you were one of the coolest people I ever met❤

My mom passed in 2000 in the hospital . She said a Nurse came in and said that they were trying to make arrangements for my mom to “Go Home” and sorry it was taking so long. She passed that next morning. I believe that was an 😇& not a nurse.😇

On November 4, 2021, at early dawn I woke up because I felt watched, I was in a daze but I saw the figure of a man standing facing me in my room and I felt a masculine presence..normally this would have jolted me awake and scared me senseless but..I felt so overwhelmingly safe in this presence and just closed my eyes and drifted back to sleep. 8 hours later I wasn't even thinking about it..then my sister called to tell me my Dad was found, he was no longer alive and that his time of death was just around dawn. I know with every fiber of my being that soul watching over me when I awoken was my Dad. I had many more mystical and deep lucid experiences related to him that followed ever since.♡

I died of a heart attack 10 years ago. I was in the hospital bed recovering from surgery. I woke up and my Great Uncle Carlton was at the end of my bed. He disappeared when the doctor walked in the room. 100% true story. I obviously survived...but I definitely believe in the afterlife.

My late husband not only saw his deceased aunts, uncles and other relatives, but also had visions of Batman & Robin. The latter two might have been the morphine, but the relatives were all comforting to him, which helped because he had been so afraid of being rejected by St. Peter, for his years of drugs & wild life before I met him.

My great grandmother played a big part in my life. When she past, I was devastated. I started crying for hours. The day before she passed away, she said she saw her mother. She said to her mother “what are you doing here?”. Her mother apparently said that she was going to go on a big trip tomorrow. We miss you Great Grandma❤

@Nurse Hadley - Hospice Congratulations! I just subbed today. The short about the estranged family member brought me peace. I have had no relationship with my "mother" for about 5 years. 4 yrs ago she had a stroke and now she's in a home. I know she'll pass sooner than later and my fear is that talking to me will be something she might want to do. I will not speak to her. I felt comfort when you said if you feel relief, that's okay. THANK YOU!!🫶

I once helped an ecentriç British lady here in Canada at a nursing home. One day she told me she had gone to visit her sister who was still alive in London. She described her travel via double decker bus vividly. The next day my lady was gone. I still think she managed to visit her sister to say goodbye.
