I related so much to her message, after my father died I was stuck in blue for such a long time. It wasn't until I was searching for something more than that, that I found a peaceful green through Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon has brought me so much more than happiness, it has brought back the light and colour I've been searching for so deeply. Thanks for the amazing talk!

Tim B After a nearly 8 year bout with Bipolar depression brought on by the loss of my business. I was searching and this video came completely by accident. After Just listening to The mormon channel with my headphones on and working without knowing what I would Hear next Jill's experience gave me Hope. Hope and Understanding! I too would ask myself am I back am i back to who i once was? Realizing that I would never be Blue again and that I hated Yellow. That there could be hope The Very Power of Hope In being and "seeing Green". Thanks so very much Jill !

This was a great talk/presentation. It was a great visualization of a concept I'm still trying to work with myself. It reminds me of this quote from C.S. Lewis: “He (the devil) always sends errors into the world in pairs--pairs of opposites...He relies on your extra dislike of one to draw you gradually into the opposite one. But do not let us be fooled. We have to keep our eyes on the goal and go straight through between both errors. We have no other concern than that with either of them.” Thank you, Sister Thomas, for sharing your testimony.

oh my gosh i just love this talk, at first i found it a bit hard to follow but as I listened, I started to see the connection and wisdom. This is so suitable to hear at this time, especially as we are experiencing the impact of Covid 19. What we know to be blue prior to Covid 19 will not be the same, yet I do believe, as this beautiful sister has pointed out, the world we know and are used to will change, and our experiences will give us a different perspective for the better, as well as bring us closer to God. I cant wait to listen to this talk over and over again and record these things in my journal, thank you xo

@@churchofjesuschrist More of this. It is raw and full of sad moments, but oh so helpful for growing as a people of God. Sometimes the most helpful perspective is one that recognizes that sadness, disappointment, fear, failure are just as much a part of God's plan as Joy and Happiness. It all colors our experience and gives us nuance to discover lasting peace.

I think she has an interesting perspective. I like the artistic parable of sorts.
@maximvoronkov94185 жыл бұрын
She's a real genius! "They are important issues, yet they are not issues at all at the same time" - it shows that when you associate yourself with your physical body and mind, you feel like "I'm suffering, and this suffering is terrible", and when you associate yourself with your spirit, then "they are not issues at all", there is pain, but I am not suffering, I am not this body. I have this body, but I can't be the thing I have. But we all to some degree have this blue-yellow thinking, this illusion of our perception. And this is in part what The Matrix movie is about. (When you have a serious problem in life, remember: Don't try to bend the spoon, first you need to learn the truth. What truth? There is no spoon). It's baffling for a human mind, yes, but there's a great wisdom in it.

By looking at trials and different experiences as key elements to our presence on Earth, examining them and allowing them to help us learn grow. All the while pressing forward with faith in Christ and doing the things that help us find peace and closeness to him despite mortality and all that comes with it (prayer, scriptures, service, worship etc)♡

what must one do to be saved? (serious question)
@jaredkunz80927 жыл бұрын
A man asked Jesus that question once, " what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" (Matt 19:16) and Jesus answered "if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." (Matt. 19:17)
@DaveCowan6 жыл бұрын
Believe in Christ, exercise faith in him (keeping his commandments, loving your neighbor etc..), repent (of wrongdoings, everyday follies etc..) be baptized (by a church and men who hold the authority of God, the Priesthood), receive the Holy Ghost (by the laying on of hands by those who have authority), live your life having faith, repenting, seeking the Holy Ghost (these are all done throughout our lives and are not a one time thing). Receive the priesthood, if you're a man and be faithful to the authority of it, and the One who gave it to you. Receive all the saving ordinances of the House of the Lord (the Temple), be sealed together for time and all eternity in marriage. Continue faithful, in your covenants (agreements you made with God to keep his commandments) and endure to the end of your life. Then will the Lord look on your heart, your intentions, your faith, what you did to serve those around you, what you did to be righteous and faithful, and THEN, the Lord decides if you enter into His and the Father's presence, or inherit another kingdom of glory.
