Hey guys, thanks for all the support and great to see so many comments - to cover those that relate to how much liquid/boilies we used; we covered around 50 boilies of which we placed 8 in a bag this only used around 5% of the bottles contents. As we said, this massively increases the attraction and food source signal of those 8 boilies and the presentation - in theory, you could be using much less bait overall. Maybe half a kilo over session instead of a kilo? It doesn't take long to see how using Smart Liquid could actually save you bait. Food for thought and again appreciate all of your support, comments and feedback. Whether using our baits or not, good luck on the bank guys!

I pre ordered mine at local tackle shop . I have four tubs of my chosen hookbaits in mixed sizes soaking in the four different liquids . I stood liquids in hot water to thin it's consistency down . I've used them every time I've been out over 24 HR sessions and the smart coated baits have caught on canals and high pressured waters .

The test was done in a perfect still glass of water i wanted you to throw it into that glass not gently plop it in most of the liquid would get washed off hitting the water , put it in a real life situation with an undertow it wouldn't have time to slowly fall and rise out the bottom and top of the pva bag and it would be washed away before that bag had even popped open , for me its just a gimmick unless you do a proper test and prove me wrong wheres rob hughes when you need him 👍

I’m all up for adding an additional edge to my baiting approach , my main concern in some cases , could this process of a smokey looking halo and rising up to the surface not also have the opposite affect of spooking very wary fish.

HI Damien - good comment. Throughout the testing period we didn't encounter any situations or problems such as this. General opinion is that carp are likely to be attracted to clouds and this kind of attraction as they are when other fish stir up the lake bed or water inflows and strong winds/undertows colour up water. It'll be interesting to know what you think after trying this out.

Right then, I've just done a 36hr session on my syndi. Fri night I covered about 40 boilies in the fish liquid and put them in the van along with all my gear. Sat morn get to lake, set up and get boilies, quite shocked as the liquid was not solid but certainly not a liquid, maybe congealed. I put one on the hair and 8 in a pva bag and cast out. 12 hours later, reeled the rod in and the stuff was still around the boilie like a congealed oil. Questions.. is this stuff any good for cold water? (water temp was 9.6), how warm was the water in the video? I put 10 boilies in a bucket of lake water for 2 hours and the reaction was NOWHERE near like that on the video...... did I do anything wrong?

No Mark you've not done anything wrong, the Smart Liquid is suitable for all water temperatures and the water in the video was cold tap water so not warm at all, that said the reaction of the Smart Liquid is slowed by colder temperatures. Much of the reaction is actually unseen or rather more difficult to see with the naked eye and not a macro camera lens, as micro sized particles will stream away throughout the water.

Whats the point like he said he put 8 boilies in but with the liquid it made it as powerful as 10 boilies? id rather just use 10 boilies cheaper easier and dont spook fish... i very rarely go carp fishing these days and my tackle is 10+years behind, but i still beat everybody on the lake when i do go, if you want to catch the bigger more wary carp in lakes this 100% aint the way to go, keep it simple

Not really Mark - carp in most lakes aren't dependent upon anglers baits due to natural foods, and on lakes where they may be more dependant anglers will still find good results from heavy baiting. What the Smart Liquid really does is give you the option to present a high, increased level of attraction from little bait - perfect for times when the fish aren't feeding hard or short sessions etc.

I would like to give this a go but as others commented, I wonder how well it would work in a lake. I appreciate the particles shoot upwards and drop back down but can also imagine that on windy days the scent may get wafted around. Also, on the deck the scent wafted outwards to fill the width of the demo tank so how far sideways would it travel, even when no wind or breeze? I am a match angler and would not want to be attracting fish to the next peg. Thanks

One constant throughout this testing was that using the Smart Liquid in various lakes, waters and situations always brought fish to the source of the attraction. Can’t help feeling a lot of this catches the angler more than carp. I’ve had about a month long trial with smart liquid, easy hit a Chuck runs water. Plain bags, hemp oil and smart liquid (cell a good all round known and successful flavour). The hemp oil bags out performed the plain and the smart bags massively. Creating bites way before both, a very clear indication no matter where I put it, the smart and plain bags seemed to perform exactly the same as each other, still catching fish, but not as rapidly as the hemp oil. Not dissing the product, it still has its place I’m sure. But have nowhere near the faith I had in this product as I had when first watching this vid. Saying that I’ve run the same tests with goo and found exactly the same. Maybe in the winter they will get dusted off again for single hook baits. Anyone else run little experiments? (Gana rattle on as bored at work) also think goo is not such a great glue if used with a good quality bait, as soon as you dip that bait your totally changing its flavour to whatever they have decided to throw in that bottle, why do that if you just bought a 12 quid a kilo essential cell for example that you know the carp on the water your are fishing love, just to smother it in some random over powering pineapple flavour? Any thoughts?

Anything like that will sell because people will buy it to see if it really works. And having tried a few brands, from glugs to goos as well as sprays, I can safely say, they made no difference at all. What does work is, baiting up your swim and fishing as normal. Whatever bait you use, the fish will switch on to it sooner or later.

I recently did a session for catfish in a very difficult pool. There were 4 of us on over 3 days. I had 2 cats out and the other lads didn't have a sniff. I used Korda's Spicy Squid Goo. Just my two cents worth but I think they really do work with cats. Carp? I've yet to test. My gut feeling tells me that you're right and they're made mostly for anglers. I think with catfish and their poor eyesight, any smell or attraction you add is going to be a bonus. The Korda Goo is like a semi-jelly substance that absolutely reeks. I chucked a bag of pellets with the goo on in the margins and I was very surprised by the visual trails of the goo drifting off. Just a stranger's opinion, perfect for catfish (maybe pike?) and the jury is still out for carp.

When u make a pva boilie bag up and the mesh is tight put the nozzle up to the gaps between the Boilies and squeeze directly into the gaps and it fills them gaps up with liquid and oozes out the mesh

Yes you can use Smart Liquid on pop-ups without any issues (if you go to social media pages you'll find an image sequence using a Spinner Rig and Pink Pinenana Pop-Up). One of the biggest winning elements of the Smart Liquid is the way it diffuses through water, sending out attractive signals to the fish - on a river this will predominantly be travelling with the flow, pulling fish from down stream. In videos like this you can see much of this dispersion, but its only a small percentage of what is going on and the volume of micro sizes particles that are infiltrating the water.

Simply because we don't own the kind of underwater camera kit required required for such as shoot - GoPro's just don't cut it for that kind of thing due to batteries etc. generally in this type of filming environment cameras are in position for days sometimes weeks for the fish to feel safe visiting these areas. It is also therefore very time consuming, but it would of been awesome - we'd love to do it not just for the Smart Liquid but for other products as well. @@YorkshireDroneFlyer Possibly, although the liquid was obviously designed be used in a normal fishing situation and not one where a camera is in the middle of the spot, so it would take some time for the fish to be grow accustom to the camera so they behave normally. All complicated, time consuming stuff if you have the kit.

@@carllast5631 No worries Carl, the liquid will just keep dispersing, which is why this vase demo was restricted to around 20 minutes as by then the volume of water is pretty much full of the attraction.

What a edge if no one on the lake is using it..but every angler and his dog now days adds glugs and oils and other liquids on there bait, a good 70%I would say, this is how fishing has now become ie, its fashionable.im learning now that the carp are sussing it out and hold off the bait for days or the bream and tench get it first lol.. washing out the baits is much more effective on lower stock or hard venues or even pressured lakes..you can't beat washed out cell

Things like undertow will really help the dispersion of the attraction - trillions of tiny, micro sizes particles of attraction diffusing everywhere!

Hi Richard, the Smart Liquid will always react in the same way, what will vary is how far, and how quickly is will disperse according to the size of lake, and condition (not so much depth, as it will always travel the complete water column). Sounds like a beast of a lake though, and a great challenge - good luck!
