Seeing such a huge crash in monster size dunes really shook me up

Day 10, double digits but also double the brutality! Words cannot describe how brutal and challenging this day of the Africa Eco race was. Consisting of 70% sand and at least 125 km of giant soft sand dunes and some very poor quality rocky tracks, it was really hard going.
In this extra warm part of Mauritania I had to be vigilant with watching my bike and my body temperatures throughout the Erg Chinguetti dunes, the largest and most magnificent dunes in the country, reaching heights of up to 400meters! After racing over 4,000km so far my body is fatigued, my energy levels are low and I needed to dig deep.
I can definitely understand why being able to say you finished the original Dakar is such a huge achievement. 10 days down and 3 tough ones to go but I continue to fight with everything I have. Look out Dakar I'm coming!
