So happy for you Sami! When I got married my husband & I gave each of our parents 5 invitations. That was all we could give out that matched up with the amount of people we invited. We told them they could invite whoever they wanted, but ultimately they had to decide who they really wanted to be there. It worked out great!

Hi Sami! I think that when planning a wedding, you should think about the people that you surround yourself with and the people you WANT to be with you on your day celebrating the love you and JT share, it is truly an intimate event. That's just my opinion from my friend's experiences and family experiences. I am currently planning my wedding as well! Getting lots of inspo from your videos!!

Aww as a married woman who had my wedding last year, I feel for you about the guest list! I would say don’t invite people you don’t have a genuine connection with; if you don’t even know or remember the sound of their voice, definitely don’t invite them!! It’s hard since your father is contributing a lot to the wedding, and I believe there’s a way to negotiate and maintain your boundaries. How many tables would it be if you had to visit each and every one of them during your wedding? I doubt that’d be how you’d want to spend one of the most important days of your life haha. Again, i have a lot of compassion for you because it’s a very important day that involves a lot of ppl who you care about, but looking back a year later, there are a lot of things I wish I did my way instead of people-pleasing. If you happen to be live-streaming your wedding (which I did), it eliminated a lot of discussion about who gets to be there in person vs. live-stream haha. Best of luck planning the wedding!! If you’re into the desert as a wedding venue, the O’donnell house in Palm Springs was an awesome venue and they take care of almost everything for you. Made my wedding planning experience so much easier and the venue is so beautiful

Regarding weddings I think there is a lot of cultural issues attached to it. As an Arab it’s very typical take have a 500 guest list which is usually mainly managed by the parents. The way I navigated it is by negotiation with my parents. Going through their list and question every person on it. Some they will realize themselves that they don’t actually need to invite and others you have to nudge a little. Eventually the list will get smaller. Also have the TOTAL number figured out so it can help you negotiate with the parents as well. Good luck!! ❤️❤️❤️

The last puppy with pink collar seems to have a very sweet personality, just sitting by the person. When I was choosing my pup I was determined I will have a girl, but one boy kept asking my attention which was a sign he chose me. I ignored it and to this day I wonder where that pup is and I hope he has a good life cuz I lowkey would take him too if I was able to go back. So what I mean is even if you can choose a pet and you have the control in this, it's beautiful to follow which pup would choose you❤️ sad you cannot meet them all IRL

Puppers name suggestions: Bear, Bodie, or Beau (also can be spelled Bo) are my top suggestions. Idk why they all start with B lol, but I think they fit blue collar boy well. Omg, you could also name him Blue💙!!!! Blue would be so cute! I also love the name Remy (or spelled Remi). Some other random suggestions are: Oakley, Scout, Archie, Duke, or George. Can’t wait to hear what you guys decide😍

Dog Name suggestion: Ridley and if you pick the one with the white on top of the head maybe call him Stripe? About wedding guest list: I'm married and the way my hubby and I narrowed down and communicated to our parents is that we wanted to have the opportunity to enjoy not only the event but the people. If it's too big there is no way you can hang out with each person. The time goes by too quickly and the second thing we shared is that we wanted to make sure we were inviting people from our side that were part of the journey when we first started dating and could see still being part of our journey at least for the next 5 yrs and we wanted the same for the parents. That it's people who have been there for them as we were growing up and not just a random neighbour from x years ago. This really helped them assess and question the level of their friendship with people they wanted to be part of that event. It really helped everyone get the vibe we wanted and they could picture that it would be more fun and a nice memory to share with people that truly have been there for us as a whole and not just for them and have nothing to do with us as the couple getting married. For example, it's great my mom would love to invite one of her close friends BUT that friend hardly ever saw me growing up or even took part in any other birthday or life event of mine like graduations etc. So, it was easy for her to really pick friends that were there as I was growing up who babysitter me, who were at my middle school graduation. They understood that this even is a gift of the friendship to share like "Like look how they've grown up you get to experience this too cause you were a part of it". Our list went from 350 to 100 and from the 100 not everyone could make it and it dropped to 60 and it was the best day ever. Not cause we were getting married but the closeness we got that day with so many of our friends and our parent's friends sharing advice and sharing stories and catching up.

I know this is sooo different for everyone and lots of people want a big wedding, but my husband and I went to Yosemite NP to elope! When we got back we just had a big party to celebrate! It was a lot cheaper as well, and we stayed in California for a week kind of like a honeymoon! It was sooo much better to not have to plan an actual wedding and not have bridesmaids/groomsmen etc. My family was not necessarily thrilled that they couldn’t be there when we got married but the main thing was that we had each other and our big day was about US and not about everyone else. It was so so special to get married that way!

That's similar to what I have been talking about. I wouldn't be able to fully elope, there are certain family members who would NOT be ok with that (IE my parents) but it would be just my immediate family and his, our BFF's (my BFF said we can elope as long as we tell her when so she can be there 😂) and that's it, then a BIG party when we got back. It sounds soooooo much more relaxing. My BFF said she could relax on her wedding day because I was there and I have worked events before and I knew how to mitigate issues and such so that no one went to her, but I wouldn't have that, so in order to have a relaxing time we would make it really small.

I just had my dream wedding this last September. Guest count was 250. Let me tell ya! I didn’t regret one person there. Everything felt so natural and sentimental. Both his and my parents friends where there, our friends, and family all together in one space! This only happens once in a lifetime, so it was amazing to see all different types of people there celebrating us. Even tho I didn’t know alot of people, I got to know them and there relationship with my parents(: it was a blessed time! I do regret not inviting some people on my “maybe list” since I see them often around town.. So it may be a bit awk. But overall invite the amount you can handle! It’s worth it (:

Sam♥️ when it comes to choosing the guests at your wedding, invite the most important people in your life. Your wedding day goes by in a BLINK of an eye. You’ll want to soak in the moments with JT, and celebrate with your closest family and friends. Anyone not invited can celebrate with you in other ways (like bridal shower) or another time (like brunch a few weeks before or after your and JT’s big day). I had a small, intimate wedding and I will forever cherish our day just as that. Wishing you peace during this decision!!

The best advice I heard for who to invite to YOUR wedding was this "Would I pay $200 to take this person to dinner at this point in my life?" (or whatever your budget is per person) Might not work for everyone, but it helped me realize I'd rather have a smaller wedding with close friends and family than a large one with people I don't really spend time with anymore. I’m glad you’re getting your pup from a reputable breeder but… why not a rescue? And if you put in some effort and time, you can find puppies and specific breeds! A quick google search shows that 920,000 dogs are euthanized every year in the US. Because you have a platform, if you were to adopt- not buy- you could have such a positive influence. At least commit to having your next dog be a rescue? 😢

Aw so excited for you!! We recently had our 4 year old pup pass away a few weeks ago and man do I say to soak up alllll of that time with your little fur best friend. They are the best and bring SO much joy. We missed him so much that we ended up getting a new little cavapoo puppy (from the same breeder) and we will officially get him later this week. Excited for the wedding content and for you guys to get a dog! My dog is my world and I love him so so much. They bring such joy! I got married in 2019. If your dad is paying for the majority of it then I think you guys should make your best effort to let him invite who he wants. Once you pick a venue and get pricing for each person then you guys can scale it down if it’s gonna be way over budget. Unless he is ok paying for each person. You could also have a “B list” meaning if a lot of people from your A list aren’t able to come then you can start inviting the B list people if that makes sense

When we were making a list for our wedding (we wanted an intimate 50 people wedding) we just decided that if i will stop to chat with that person and the person knows exactly what i am going through and does not need to get "updated" on my life - they make the list and means they are an important part of my life. everyone else i talk to like 3 times a year, even if i love them, just don't come to the wedding 😁 worked great

Could that dog be any cutier!! I want him. I love your long black hoodie. Where did you get that from? I love how you furnished your office. You'll have to cover some of the furnishings when the dog comes otherwise they will be all scratched up. As far as your wedding, invite people that you truly want there. When we got married we set a limit on the number of people. Once we did that, it helped us to decide who truly had to be there for us. So each of us could invite so many people. We had an engagement party and invited people that were coming to our wedding but not everyone. As you said, your dad's friend from the elementary school may not be a candidate for the engagement party. Invite your nearest and dearest to your engagement party. We then added more people to the wedding. I think that sometimes because someone else is paying that we feel obligated to let them take more control. Hence, you may invite more of your dad's friends because he's footing the bill. It should work the way you see fit. Maybe take some of the expenses away like paying for the band, floors or cocktail bar. Always remember to BE FIRM in what you decide. You'll see that making a guest list may be difficult but doing a seating arrangement is even harder. Make it easy on yourself otherwise you'll be drowning yourself in tequila shots.
