I’ve watched this entire series and loved every minute. It was so well put together and I loved how raw and honest the storytelling was. As someone who has also backcountry canoed through Algonquin, I hope I can reassure you both that you captured the park so well ❤️

Well done! It takes a special mind set to understand what Algonquin has to offer. Pushing your body to the limits and keep putting one foot infront of the other. I have covered over 75% of the park and every trip leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment, respect and reward that can only be experienced by starting the journey. It's in your DNA, that is only realized as you drive away, leaving adventure for the next person that follows you. Hard to put into words, you guys did an amazing job!

You should totally feel accomplished! What a long trip that was! I'm a backcountry camper too, but have not done a long, long trip like that before. I'm in admiration of all you've accomplished, and your dynamic together as a couple. Amazing trip guys! Thank you for sharing. Enjoyed this series.

Thanks for a fun watch! Pancakes on canoe trips: use complete pancake mix only needs water, dilute enough to make it spread a little thinner in the pan, use generous cooking oil, run the pocket rocket on very low gas setting. Add a large dose of patience 😉 takes "forever" to make pancakes for our family in camp so I only do it on a layover day. Cooking in camp is always an adventure 😁
@Karamintheworld3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for watching, and glad you liked it. I can't say I'm a good pancake cook even at home so I shouldn't have been surprised they turned out looking the way they did on a camp. I'll definitely be trying out your advice and method on the next trip :)

Very well done and congrats on making it to the finish line. It's definitely a lesson in living in the moment and getting that natural recharge you can't find in the concrete jungles of this world.

As someone who lives close to and hikes and canoes algonquin yearly you've done a fantastic job of showing the trails and tribulations of the park and the beauty and magnitude. Is urge you both to explore the backpacking trails in the park for a completely different feel to alogonquin I'm sure you're up for it and would love it! much love and respect from ON, CA :)

@@Karamintheworld While I enjoyed watching the video of your 17 day canoe adventure, I think the bigger and more important story that you told extremely well, was the special relationship that you have with each other!

What a great documentary of an epic canoe trip! I love the way your narration tells the story, both physically and emotionally. I have done a lot of kayak and canoe trips from Ontario to the Yukon, so I can relate everything you say. One word of advice is to get yourself a good non-stick frypan for making pancakes etc. Very useful and compact. Look forward to your next trip! Cheers!

Hi Tony, thanks for watching! Next trip will definitely include a non-stick pan, thanks for the advice. Canoeing in the Yukon must have been incredible, any recommendations?

@@Karamintheworld Fly into Whitehorse, rent a canoe, and paddle to Dawson City (coolest small town in Canada!). This is a 700 km trip but is an easy two weeks, as it is all downstream. Every mile is stunning scenery & wildlife.
