The TSRR holds a special place in my heart as it was the 1st Railroad museum I went to

we took a trip on the TSRR and enjoyed much. At the end of the trip the steam locomotive broke down and we had to wait for a diesel to come to the rescue and pull us to the depot.

Nice work, especially the slideshow intro. For the steam action shots, you might want to consider a tripod next time, especially since you were pretty much fixed in location in most shots. A decent tripod can be had for about $200 these days.

This being the only US preserved line I have visited (as a UK preservationist) I am dismayed to hear of its difficulties. I was very impressed with all that had been achieved and hope that it is not to be lost. Am I correct in understanding that although operations cease in August it is still to be taken over by the owners of the Durango and Silverton? I sincerley hope so and that any closure is brief. Best Wishes from a Severn Valley Railway Signalman.

It's confirmed now. I was there earlier this week and they say it's all said and done now.

sounds about right in our modern world. I dont know what i'd do if, say, the Great Central here in england were closed. All i know is, people would get hurt...

Causing any destruction, or demolition of any kind, on a preserved railway in England would be counted as heresy. Not trying to make a joke of it, but I suppose 'Damn' is a good word for it. Looks like a good railway to, with a video to match.
