I really like the new singles, i really do. But i feel like theyve lost their edge, a bit of the crazy that was in their older stuff. Its like they matured but accidentally got rid of more of the fun element of their music.

It’s because JD isn’t depressed anymore. The nothing was written based on the loss of his wife and that’s a subject that’s gonna illicit way stronger feelings than whatever this album is doing. They’re also not strung up on meth anymore…and have been doing this for nearly 30 years.
