Nice! I designed the engine/trans mounts on that car. Even got to benchmark the 360 with a prototype GT on Ford’s durability track. The GT is an amazing car even if the steering is too light for my taste. The torque off the line is addicting. PS Matech Racing did race it at LeMans unsuccessfully.

@@Jamtastic yup, they wanted to use the system out of the SVT Lightning (same block), but in the GT it was like a trampoline. I redesigned it from the corner castings to the block. Scrapped $200k of early prototype tooling.

This is one of the few “recreation” cars that looks absolutely spot on. It looks as good as or even better then the original GT40. Proportions are amazing. The 2017 car still looks great, but lacks the purity of lines from the original.
@jamesdellaneve90052 жыл бұрын
I think that they did a great job making it a drivable car. I am building an RCR GT-40 and am not a big guy. It’s absolutely tiny inside. I don’t know how Dan Gurney fit. So. Given the trade offs to making it easy enough to get in and out, and keeping a lot of the design elements from the original, they really pulled it off. There’s nothing “daily driver” about the GT-40.

I'm glad you made a video about this beauty. I also was in my early teens when this car came out. I'm a Mustang guy at heart, but the 05-06 GT is on the top tier dream car list. It's sleek so low and the body flows just perfectly ! The one I saw was in black and it was a stunning looking BUT MOST OF ALL TIMELESS! It never ages! That's why you are right Sam this car will always go up in value! And it drives so smooth and handles like it's on rails from what people say after driving it! One of the most spectacular cars of all time ! It's a car with pedigree and that's rare! Thanks Sam fantastic video as always!! God bless all 🙏❤

Here in the states the 05-06 Ford GT‘s have more than doubled in value from the original MSRP and the heritage model has tripled or quadrupled in value. These cars are already in a very steady upward trajectory. Only downside to these cars is that they high production numbers somewhere around 4000 total units. But to your point Sam, it may be now or never.

Before people mention Jeremy Clarkson's issues with his Ford GT, just note that he later admitted that his car's issues was due to a 3rd party immobilizer incorrectly installed. The immobilizer was required by his insurance in the UK. He really leaned into the issues for Top Gear content.
@technohamster47832 жыл бұрын
Didn't it do 4mpg?
@gpaje2 жыл бұрын
@@technohamster4783 He may have said that, but probably not telling the truth and highly likely not on highway mpg. However, it's officially rated at 13 city / 21 highway on the US 3.8L gallon. Most owners forums seems to confirm that's about right in the real world. The UK gallon is 4.5L by the way, which gives an artificially inflated number when compared to the US gallon on the trip computer, which is based on the 3.8L per gallon reading.

The first step to successful investing is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance - either on your own or with the help of a Financial Advisor. If you can get the facts about savings and investing with a well detailed plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your income.
