Alright now I've got three things to say: 1) When I watched (and heard!) the intro I never thought you'd be driving an Abarth! What a beast! 2) I love how you keep true to yourself and buy cars you're passionate about and don't care about the "KZbin ways" of buying whatever gets the most clicks only to flip it after a week 3) FINALLY there's an STG project! I know we've all been waiting for this for a while 4) I actually got a 4th thing to say: I can't wait for your racetrack tour through Europe in your Biposto #RaceThroughEurope

I bought a North American Abarth last summer. It's the very first car I've ever owned (I've only hired automatics when needed), and I only had two hours of experience driving a manual car before picking it up! I'm doing much better now! It truly is a fun car to drive! Everyone else can keep their boats on wheels! 😁 For mods, one mod I wanted to do to my car soon after buying it was upgrade the rear torsion bar. I knew the 500 Abarth can have understeer troubles, and the Neuspeed Neu-F bar I installed did the trick by injecting just enough oversteer to make the car go in the direction that you want it to go. The other mod I'll do when installing my winter tires is install an aluminum skid plate to better protect the car's undercarriage. Winter driving in Canada can wreck a car pretty badly, and I'd like to keep this one running for a few years.
@shouldigetit4 жыл бұрын
Nice purchase Francois! I just bought my Abarth and believe it come with the same bar in the rear you have. I highly recommend a short shifter it changes the whole car. Have you got Bluetooth for music in yours? Hoping to figure a good radio upgrade out
@Milnoc4 жыл бұрын
@@shouldigetit No plans to upgrade the radio since I don't care much about music. The car does have Bluetooth, but I haven't tried pairing the phone to the car yet. Once I'm more comfortable with the manual, installing a short shifter might be an interesting project for next year. Right now, my shifting is still a little rough, so I still need the long throw of the stock shifter to feel my away around the gears.

Also for getting a better seating position TMC motorsport sell lower seat rails which lower the seat down, both these mods will change the feel of the car to more track focused! Have fun modding 🤘🏻

Good to see you in an Abarth again. The driving position stops me buying one. The seat is too high and it only lowers at the back of the squab. I'm sure you could fit custom sports seats from Sparco etc on lower runners but seems such a faff. If you could find a decent way of lowering the seat which isn't a hard core racing seat I'd go out and buy one.
@The__ASH4 жыл бұрын
It is possible to lower the Comp seats. Search ‘Sabelt lowering brackets’ on Google and on KZbin. The standard seats have what Abarth would call height adjustment but it is indeed useless and at the extreme bottom setting actually makes the seat really uncomfortable to sit on and the height of the person sitting on it doesn’t actually change!

Talked my wife into an Abarth when we went from 3 cars to 1, unfortunately I made the mistake of driving a Competizione with her, she hated the suspension and exhaust so we ended up with a tourismo, but even that is huge fun. Sam are you sure it has the mechanical differential? The mechanical differential is a part of the performance pack which was a £3000, which you have the wheels from but the performance pack also has the carbon backed sabelts seats which your seats arent. You can buy bits from the performance pack. If you pop the bonnet and look in between the end of the engine cover and the ecu plugs you should see a sticker saying in italian differential or something. My series 4 has it I have a video on my youtube of it on my car.
