I’m a Japanese and I was hesitated to go to this kinds of chain restraints before. I had a impression that young ladies don’t go there alone . It’s targeted for おじさん. But you definitely changed my impression. Thanks for widening my perspective!

Would 100% like to see more, especially considering my favourite chain restaurant wasn't in the video (CoCo Ichibanya Curry). Very entertaining video!
@gregh7457 Жыл бұрын
if you've tried enough curry joints in japan you will discover coco ichibanya is just average curry. Its their western style format of menu's thats appealing to most westerners. there is literally nothing on the coco ichibanya menu that you cannot find at mom n pop curry shops
@kayschut9327 Жыл бұрын
@@gregh7457 It's a matter of taste I guess. I have had curry at quite a lot of places in Japan and while CoCo Ichibanya might not be the best (japanese) curry I've ever eaten, it is very consistent and I keep coming back to it.

One chain I really like is the Hidakaya Ramen Shops. The hotel I always chose in Tokyo has one about a block away and they seem to be super common, almost as must as some of the conbini. They also share their name with the family name of my Japanese teacher. My last trip to Japan I tried the trio of Yoshinoya, Matsuya and Sukiya. Yoshinoya was my favorite based on taste.

Hoshino is one of my go-to morning set places! There used to be a very crabby woman at one of the Hoshino's in Shinjuku. My sister didn't believe me when I told her and when I took her there she refused to go back. That was 2019 though and I didn't see "Crabby" in 2022. Hoshino had a dessert with a rum sauce and I had to tell them I wasn't driving before they would serve it to me.

I love Marugame Seimen. The chicken and shrimp tempura are the best. As for gyudon, I believe the best chain is Sukiya. It’s cheapest but also the most delicious. Their benishouga is slightly sweet but very sour so it’s perfect.
