Much respect for getting Z rank with Hit. People will most likely downplay it, but the discrepancy between Fusions or any other 4 bar character compared to Hit is insane. It's like in the trailers they hyped this whole 'Speed Type' 'Strength type' etc. meaning pro's and con's with a radar chart and everything. They are all irrelevant just pick '4 Health bar, does high damage, has high defense type'. It's like playing Street Fighter, but everyone online can just pick Shin Akuma so what's the goddamn point to a 100+ roster.

Difference is that this is an arena fighter and most characters are going to be busted. Street Fighter however has a good balance even amongst the cheese, Akuma may be a busted character sometimes but he suffers from having the lowest health

@@jdubc2927 it’s just his supers that are bad. His basic combos are pretty solid. As for UI Goku, yeah he doesn’t have the most health but he’s pretty good at taking it away if you know what you’re doing. Soaring Fist is a solid combo extender and Godly Display is incredible but most people don’t know how to combo into it effectively. Not to mention the autododge can come in handy since you can immediately attack while dodging.

So, by that logic, SSJB < SSJBKK < UI Sign < MUI even without considering the perks of UI, so they just slap an extra health bar on the strongest form. I'd prefer it if they went more in the Legends route of giving UI Sign and MUI extra evasive mechanics while being super squishy if you do manage to tag them, but there's also a million and one ways they could fumble that dynamic (as in, every single game that incorporates more than the standard "basic attack auto-dodge at the cost of a bit of ki while standing" gives you _no_ counter to the UI dodge, which then boils down the interaction to "spam attacks to not hit him until you do." Even Legends was very annoying with the whole "dodge everything twice, then your gauge is gone" thing when both facing MUI and using MUI.)

When it comes to DP battles, once you get into the higher tiers it becomes less about beating your opponent and instead just outlasting them. It's legit a game of keeping as many characters alive as possible before the timer runs out.

I'm honestly surprised that they even allow character mismatches in ranked. Am I wrong for thinking that if you're in ranked, everyone should have the same HP pool, and similar overall dmg output, ki charge speed, etc? For DP having them all have different levels makes great sense, but in a 1v1 having a character do so much dmg and have so much more hp just doesn't seem very.... ranked. It's also sad to watch that as you are technical skill-ing your ass off, that they can just play broken characters and still win OR almost win and be up there in ranks. But is always very satisfying to watch you bring them down a peg or two haha. Keep it up dude, gratz on Z-rank, well earned!

yeah that's the thing. it's a DBZ game, shit's supposed to be imbalanced to a logical degree, right? like UI Goku being able to auto-dodge even from behind: that makes sense, its part of the manga/anime character's skillset, the whole point of Ultra Instinct. But if you're gonna add in a "ranked" mode, you gotta do something to even the playing field. The minimal thing to do would just auto-set everyone's health to max possible in the game. You'll then still have characters outdamaging other characters, making it seem like some characters have "less" health but no, it still follows the setting's logic, but on the player-side, allows for the more skilled player to make up the difference for OP abilities or stuff like Instant Spark.
