15:43 The attack is not unblockable. What happened is that the guy used a very old strategy from budokai tenkaichi 3. There are certain characters whose "rush" doesn't just go straight, but you can direct it and you have to remember that if you press the cover button you only block anything that comes from the front, anything that comes from above, below, left, right or your back will count as you not covering yourself from that damage so what your opponent did is direct the rush upwards and it counted as colliding with a part of you that was not being covered.

I’m not confident in trying Ranked yet, so I’m going through Goku’s story mode instead for now and just got the achievement for earning a million Zeni. @@WeakestHater I’ll admit, as a _very_ out of practice BT veteran I took a few hours of playing a few CPU matches and Goku’s story to shake off my rust with Classic controls. I’m winning more consistently by now, but the counters I am indeed struggling with. Thought I could be slick and not have to do the training with Piccolo, guess I was wrong. Goku Black Rosé keeps stringing these insane combos at me in Goku’s story mode and I barely have time to breathe. Guess I need to swallow my Saiyan pride, eh?

Loving how Sparking Zero looks but, that Yamcha match is EXACTLY why local multi-player needs to be a thing. I'd take split screen over a laggy connection every time. I know SZ has local, I just wish more was implemented into it.

I think they could have a proper local multiplayer in SZ, they just need to simplify the destructible environment for the local multiplayer mode just like how it was done in RB series and if i'm not wrong Tenkaichi 3 local multi also has a simplified map (less stuff to destroy and simpler destruction effect)

Local multiplayer is a thing, it just doesn't need to render then same stuff twice making the game slower with the ugly split screen. The thing is there is people that insist on using Wi-Fi to play games. Think of it a more Naruto storm like decision than a Budokai one, even more cause without the split screen, you can't really hide at the other side of the map, charge ki and then come over to throw a full power energy blast and then repeat. that was my main beef with Budokai, no one actually fights on Multiplayer scenarios.

The fact I would need to conect to the internet and risk a laggy match or a rage quit really takes the fun out of it. Thankfully SZ finaly has a local multi-player, but we wouldn't even have it unless they made that change less than a year ago. Every DB game that was designed to be a 1 on 1 fighting game had local multi-player. The Budokais, BT1-3, Raging Blast, and even UT had local modes. If the argument is oh I can't hide and be a coward to charge my ki, then what's the point? Than that is really a dumb excuse to make. Not only that but people act like split screen is such a big deal, when it's not. We had it before and we have it now. Maybe if the devs toned down on the copy and paste explosions and smoke, then we'd be able to enjoy more maps instead of just the HBTC.

I like the minimalist look of the ui. I know minimalism in modern game interfaces and company logos has become very oversaturated, but this is one of the better ones. It conveys everything you need to know in a simple manner, yet doesn't compromise on the cool factor. It uses minimalism's biggest strength by being effective without being intrusive to allow you to really focus in on the action and spectical, the primary focus of this game presentation-wise.
