Learning to play guitar in high school, this was the first song I learned all the way through and could play along with the CD. I'd come home and crank this on full blast and turn my Amp up just as high and rock out. Simpler, happy times.

This song reminds me of being in high school, snorting pills, and Then checking the waves and going surfing.I went to boarding school in Santa Cruz, and those were some of the best years of my entire life. I'm glad Seether was part of it.
@michaelcomazzi5047 Жыл бұрын
@1101 Moskva Hey brother, I have already made it through. I am 39, Sober and I enjoy life. From what i meant by my memory is I remember hanging out with good friends, getting high, going surfing, scamming with girls, going to concerts.....and I didn't have a care in the world. And yes, those years were some of the best years of my life. After boarding school, I never saw some of my best friends there ever again. We all went our own way. SO go to AA and nip that drinking problem in the bud. You are young and still have a good shot at making a kick ass life. You can get a month long shot that helps with cravings. Do it. Being a drunk idiot is not the way to go through life. I believe in you.

So, I had a friend, tried to argue with me about this song. For those who aren't completely deaf, in this version, which is also the album version from Disclaimer II, can everyone else clearly hear the second guitar during the chorus?? The higher distorted part? He tried to tell me--he could not hear it, and that the version he heard(the one without the second guitar) was on Disclaimer II. I have the album..........

They don’t know how to love . Like a blind man trying to drive a car. Just born that way. At least someone gave a shit enough to fake it. Or maybe they were just being selfish because it made it easier. If they were real rhe they’d have to deal with someone else’s emotions and shit. And that would have been even more of a life drainer. Who the duck knows. He probably couldn’t tell you exactly what it’s about and he wrote it.

"We have to succumb to the feelings we can never face. I need you. I *breath* you. I can't go through this all again." Then she told me that she had a gun; sounded like she'd used it once before. This may have been pretty obvious to other people, but it just occurred to me that's the only part from her perspective, and the rest of the song is him trying to break up with her, followed by an explanation of whatever happened.

Wait a minute I have not threatened you. What is going on here? Why are you listening to this? You have me afraid. Please speak to me somehow. Not through these songs. This can't be how you feel or what you are thinking. Talk to me. Why won't you speak to me? I don't get it. This song says I can't go through this again. Is that why you are so distraught? I want to understand but, I can't if you won't communicate with me. What is stopping you from communicating with me? Talk to me. I want you to talk to me. No songs. You.
