I hear all you guys saying that he sounds exactly like Kurt. I used to listen to Nirvana ALOT as a teenager ... and still do. I am also a die hard Seether fan. Seether (Shaun Morgan) has his own sound ... which is obvious to folks who have listened to both bands for a number of years. Shaun takes Nirvana songs and makes them his own. Two of my favorite bands. The vocalists of both bands are EPIC. Sounded perfect to me as far as the tempo goes ... he did it HIS way.

I love how Seether (through Shaun's singing mostly) is so influenced by Nirvana (this is especially obvious in One Cold Night) yet manages to maintain their own sound at the same time! I love this band! And Nirvana, mind you ^^

I love Nirvana and I love Seether! Shaun does the best Nirvana covers I've ever heard without being a ripoff (imo). I really do kinda wish that Dave, Krist and Pat would give this dude a chance. Of course no one can replace Kurt, but it'd be cool to see this guy do at least a one-off Nirvana/Kurt tribute show

there is a reason Dave, Krist and Pat used an all female lineup to front Nirvana in their RnR Hall Of Fame performance other than them making a feminist gesture they chose not to use people like this guy from Seether because they are not interested in trying to sound exactly the same as they did with Kurt. If they got Shaun from Seether the whole performance would look like some sort of Nirvana tribute act with a Kurt Cobain soundalike.

Dennis Severance ok but still it would've been a way better performance than what we got. There's tones of artist who have similar voices to legends: Godsmack lead singer has a similar voice to layne and James of AIC and Metallica and I've seen him preform with those dudes it actually works.

I love Seether & Nirvana, this man is amazing. He sounds so similar to Kurt. Many people just see Kurt as the heroin addict who killed himself, but he was actually very talented as well as intelligent. I'm sure many bands including Seether look up to not only Kurt Cobain, but Nirvana as a whole.

chaos8585 Seether are not as important as Nirvana were. This guy can do a Kurt imitation but nothing more, no song Seether have written has really had much impact on the music scene. So I wouldn't say Kurt lives through this guy I think Kurt Cobain and Nirvana live on through bands and artists that don't necessarily sound like Nirvana but are doing their own thing in a sort of ugly distorted punk rock fuck you way.
