First time I heard this band was their collab song with If I Die First and then and now they remind me of a combination of styles like Alesana and From First To Last mashed with The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza. It's beautiful chaos! Also think the term mathcore was what it was called over here.

Had the pleasure of seeing them with Silverstein, Dayseeker, and One Step Closer back in April. Unreal energy on stage and sounded just like the album. So tight and cohesive.

This band was definitely a time machine for me. I also thought of Blood Brothers with how they were kinda all over the place, but the additional vocals from the guitarist and bassists really got me thinking of Armor for Sleep, A Static Lullaby, and a lesser known indie band from the time, Outsmarting Simon. Good stuff though. P.S. See You Space Cowboy is a track from the anime Cowboy Bebop, which in the US, first aired on Cartoon Network's Toonami in 2001...very befitting a band seemingly bringing that era of music back. They knew exactly what they were doing when they picked the name.

Not super au fait with their catalogue, but this definitely has a lot more melody than I'm used to with them, both with the vocals and the guitars, which shifts them more into the post-hardcore/metalcore mid-ground unlike some of the other 00's revivalists like Thirty Nights Of Violence and Boundaries. All for going back to the older sounds I grew up on.
@giure44473 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed so much the mismatch between the music and the film clip, like seriously a lot! I liked the single too! It reminded me of Alesana back to 2005. Anyway Nath and Johnny said the same thing at the same time, and I liked it. p.s. Grand Budapest Hotel is a masterpiece; the costumes and photography are insane and it actually has hilarious jokes or absurd moment, like the elevator ones. I think Johnny may even like it a bit.

This DOES sound like early 2000 metalcore. That's why I think it's sh*t, even though I liked that era. We already have that. At least bring something new to the table please... The Number Twelve Looks Like You have done a pretty good job of evolving the sound. Tallah sounds like 2000s nu-metal but, at the same time, sounds like nothing else but themselves. Great reaction video though!

Theyd be good if their frontman stopped doing those weird high pitched singing bits which are just dreadful. Also their backing vocalist is literally 100x better.

The references to FBTMOF and Blood Brothers were my thoughts exactly for the abrasive vocals, but they work very well for the song.
