Mode 1 is an ability to play CD music in Sega Genesis games using Sega CD hardware.

The ability to play CD music on a Mega Drive game via Sega CD hardware, hence why this version of the game doesn't make you want to mute it.

Has anyone had any luck getting this working on the Mega Sd? For me, it acknowledges it as an MD+ game in the menu and the ROM loads but there's no CD audio.

The genuine Mode 1 isn't compatible with the MegaSD. Try booting this rom instead. I changed the rom header at 0x100 from "SEGA MEGA DRIVE" to "SEGA MEGASD" so the MegaSD cart should load a CD audio. www.mediafire.com/?a3nqat4ujov23bg
