That first ad with the kid in his room with the half dozen arcade machines is what I remember the best from this era. Nowadays that seems almost likely a scenario to see with someone wanting to relive his childhood and build up a basement arcade of these hits.

"And twice the challenge!" I can't recall playing a videogame where I wished that it were harder (except the Kirby games). Why were marketing people, advertisements and commercials always talking about "challenge!" during this era. Was it to suggest to parents we would just keep playing the same game over and over again because it's so damn challenging 🤔
