@@nedson6503 Agreed... My OG is a workhorse. I wouldn't mind having a MS 2 just as part of the collection, however.

@@lukejaconettiYeah, it looks like the SMS 2 was stripped of all none essential components. I rescued my mothers SMS 2 from storage yesterday. I was looking for the best way to connect to a modern TV, as I don't have the original connections. I'm going to try the old tuning method before considering a HDMI converter.

@@nedson6503 I have not tried with a MS2, but I can say i have hooked up both a Master System and Genesis to modern TVs using the RF video cable. I have successfully done that both with running the RF adapter between the antenna and the TV as well as directly to the TV with no antenna connected. Both worked fine. Video output is what it is but as I like to say "it still works." Good luck!

Make sure to replace the 7805 regulator as soon as you can . The STMicroelectronics 7805 2A is recommended. Get them from a reputable source like mouser, digikey or Farnell The regulator in the og master system can short and destroy ram chips

Its the only one I've ever seen. Sadly, if ever a classic mini release is nafe on the Sega Master System, they'd probably do it on the first iteration which I'm not nostalgic about.

I loved this system, my folks didnt spend $$ on randoms back then..had it brand new, boxed everything it was great. It worked for many years, I moved new places it came with me ... Sadly, it was stolen, we got robbed while living in Rarotonga, 2008. Some reason the thieves didn't get the power cord/adaptor and games-idiots. 1day I'll get another1, maybe..

The Master System 2 has the exact same issues as the NES Top Loader (RF only) but now it also can't play Card games.
