Sega Rally Championship 64X Edition for the Sega Saturn 64X Add-on

This Sega Super 64X accessory for the Sega Saturn has by far the best version of Sega Rally Championship other than the arcade.
You still need the CD version for the Saturn along with the SRC 64X cartridge.
Improvements over the original Saturn game include higher definition graphics at 640x480 px, 60 fps over the original Saturn 30fps and much better textures. Loading times are much shorter too.
I made this mock-up prototype Sega 64X a while ago and I've since wanted to make this video 😃
Needless to say this is just an illusion, but would have been great to have a 1:1 port of the arcade on the Saturn. whatever add-on was required 😅

I have this theory about the CRT divide in technological eras. the only proof other than the Dreamcast is the pc game crimson skies. Like the dreamcast it was a hard thing to recreate because it was designed for CRT based graphics cards. in short at some point Graphics processors no longer assumed a CRT output

According to the spec, the cartridge is just 16bits. Not sure if it is fast enough for 3D data transfer.

it was a 32mg cartridge that added ram and 32 bit more colors . The Unit added more processing power as well (though wasnt needed ) The Sega Saturn was never used to its full graphical potential .

0:13 If you look closely at the add on it has no Circuit board pin connectors to put in the cartridge slot. So therefore this was never hooked up I think this must be a fantasy video?

@retroldtech Yeah it is nice, however i'm more interested in 32X graphics even over Saturn and Playstation graphics. What about Panasonic 3DO? I'm still more interested in 32X graphics even over 3DO graphics and it's the world's most smoothest 32-Bit polygon count pusher there is. Yeah, I was mad in 1996 When I read GAME PRO, they said that SEGA killed the 32X. A lot of other people was mad too. I was upset even though I didn't have 32X yet. SEGA should've brought out the Dreamcast as a $129 (then later dropping the price, of course) as a VCD addon. It would've gotten out nearly two years sooner and been as powerful as the failed DC that would kill the Saturn in Japan. SEGA would probably have survived.

I don't think the DC was the problem. Actually there were more than one reason for Sega's failure and the 32x, the poor Saturn campaign in the US and it being overpriced, and then the poor DC 3rd party software support. The Genesis overstock and millions of carts and hardware pieces being returned to Sega... too many issues and strategy mistakes to make the hardware division profitable. The DC was actually doing well but low stock also killed its success at launch 😔
