Wow! Never knew this game existed! Growing up, the first arcade game that I remember loving was Punch Out. I played it at an arcade at Lakewood Campground in Myrtle Beach NC. I believe I was 6-7 at the time. My cousin had the old school miniature version of the Pac Man arcade game. So when I got back to our camper in the campground, I immediately wrote a letter to Santa asking for a Punch Out miniature arcade game like my cousin Van’s Pac Man Game. Thanks for the memories brother!

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out is my all time favorite video game, of all time. If I had to pick another boxing game, it would be Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing. I have a lot of fond memories of both games. I had an uncle who was a master at Holyfield's game and even taught me how to get "The Beast" unlocked. I said it in the comments of the Game Genie vid and I'll say it again: Glad to see you working on new videos!

SEGA can't even make a good game anymore, and their hardware was always flawed. Dreamcast was good but rushed because they botched Saturn by rushing launch and alienated gamers with the 32X. If they had waited even 1 year and had better specs and a DVD drive PS2 would not have destroyed the Dreamcast.

That was until they brought in punchout! It had just hit the market. I spent every day that summer collecting empty bottles for the nickel refund and helping my friend on his paper route. Not to mention all the money I could beg my Dad out of. Just so I could go and play every chance I had. I would get a slice and scarf it down, then commence to pumping every quarter I had into it😅 I couldn't get very far. But I didn't care. I was 8 years old

How do you lose something like this?
@carpespasm2 ай бұрын
The industry was focused on money, things were advancing super fast, and as someone who's done arcade repair professionally, any game with a large handle users can grab is prone to getting damaged often. Combine all that with a cabinet that can't be converted to a more profitable game and didn't have a color screen and it's unsurprising a game or two gets lost to time like this.
