just a note, if you want to go the Fenrir route you can buy the Saturn Switcher and retain your optical drive to use with hard copy games.

It's hilarious to me personally that dude complained he had to have his nesrgb from 2020 fixed by George (1upresto). I actually bought a premodded nesrgb from George in 2020 that had the 5v and ground wired backwards on the din port. (Other than that, fantastic work) Instead of bitching on his streams and channel, I used Voultar's videos to fix it myself.

Important to note. The saroo is incompatible with the retrobits bluetooth saturn controller. It causes infinite scrolling when on the game list. Ask me how i know

I know you said no big deal but I’m disappointed by the lack of beveled pcb edge on my Saroo cart. I don’t have the equipment for doing that myself. Hopefully newer models have this. Either way, I learned my lesson not to order from AliExpress without seeing clear shots of the pcb bevel ps lots of useful info in this video! Thank you! I am definitely not expecting 100% accuracy - I will still use disc drive and satiator when that’s more critical

over the ps1!? its not even close. the ps1 library is absolutely insane i dont think that library has ever been replicated the sheer amount of original hits and franchises spawned was second to none.

Whenever someone says they prefer 3/6 button (sega style) face button layouts over the diamond layout, I instantly know something about them that they probably don't know themself. They don't play Mario. You just cannot hold run and rock your thumb onto jump with that kind of controller.

The first 3 super mario games were on the nes which doesn't have a diamond configuration so not sure where you were going with this 🤔

@@justinthomas2458 but its buttons arent arranged like a sega pad. Pick up a 3 or 6 button sega controller and try and hold one button while rocking over to another, there's no comfortable pairing anywhere.

That's interesting because when I read your comment, I instantly knew something about you that you probably don't know yourself; you have never used a SEGA 3 or 6 button pad. If you had, you'd know that it is absolutely possible, with a great deal of ease, to hold a button down and rock your thumb onto an adjacent button 🫣
