Skeleton Warriors... I do remember seeing a TV ad for the toys and I do remember reading about this game in the magazines at the time! Because my local Blockbuster didn’t have the game, I never got to play it. I’m actually surprised how few kids games the Saturn got, and even the PlayStation until later into its life! It’s because of this that even though not the best movie license (I still enjoyed it), I consider the Space Jam game to be an important release for both systems! The PlayStation did have a Mickey Mouse game, but it was PAL exclusive. It wasn’t until Hercules that both PAL and US PlayStation users got a Disney game, and only the Game Boy got a Mulan game! While I do feel I should’ve gotten a PlayStation instead of a Saturn back in the day (how was I, a 7 year old kids in the UK (about to turn 8) supposed to know about the Saturn’s rushed US launch?), I do at the same time feel I shouldn’t have got rid of my Mega Drive shortly after getting a 32 bit system! I had to borrow someone else’s Mega Drive at a later date in order to play the Toy Story game!

@@Danthrax40 Actually I would say it's the opposite the cartoon is actually still pretty sweet (especially if you're a fan of '90s cartoons with crazy premises) Whereas the game is pretty much completely forgotten. @WeskerSega4 жыл бұрын
Are you sure of that? The game was definitely released in Europe. It is in fact the typical European multi-lingual release with languages as English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and else which was so common on Sega consoles at the time so I'm a bit puzzled about your comment. Especially given that the European version was released by Virgin Interactive and they were a British publisher of all things.
@kapparomeo4 жыл бұрын
@@WeskerSega that surprises me, I never even realised - I've only ever seen the box with the white NA spine, never the black EU one. It was also never reviewed in the UK Sega Saturn Magazine, which was always pretty comprehensive and I followed religiously back in the Nineties, although evidently this one slipped under the radar.
@WeskerSega4 жыл бұрын
@@kapparomeo I'm not British, but I got the entire print of your Sega Saturn Magazine because I love the console and that magazine is like a love letter to it, so much dedication and enthusiasm for the Sega Saturn. I wish I would have got a local magazine as good as that. But yeah, I noticed that sometimes some games slipped under the radar to them, maybe because they didn't consider it worthy enough to review it, even though they went on and reviewed much more worse games than this, especially in the late European lifespam when the European console releases started to diminish, so I suppose in that particular month they had a lot of games to cover (this was released when the Sega Saturn still held up well) and had to discard this one. But yeah, it was released in Europe, it was released in the main European markets as I mentioned earlier, and therefore it was released for sure in your country.

Saturn was much better than PSX running 2D games, I read that at first Sega wanted to make it a 2D juggernaut but when they found that Sony's Playstation project was going to be focused in 3D graphics they had to redesign it, leading to Saturn's hard to program hardware and explaining the graphic differences.
