Very helpful! Better than anything Segway offers for setting up the mower. We had this thing boxed up and ready to send it back, but then I decided I needed to give it one more shot . Your video was just what I needed.

Very useful video and easy to understand -- thanks for an English version! I came here seeking tips for setting up my i105E and it was quite useful. I've had my mower for a little under 24hrs and it's already up and running... However, I have a large, L-shaped garden which goes around two sides of the house; 60% is on the West side and the remaining 40% at the back, the North side. I mapped it mostly in manual mode due to some issues with the fence border (rabbits) and where the lawn meets the patio, and it came out at just under 5,000sq ft (4779). The base station and the GNSS antenna are situated toward the South end of the West side where there is the least obstructed view to the South, the West, a little of the East and some of the Northern sky. So far, the robot has performed three scheduled cuts, but only done about 60% of the total area (the West side), before returning to base with low battery. It's completely ignoring the other 40-ish% of the garden to the North side, despite doing its perimeter lap thing before each cut. Should it not resume once recharged or on its next scheduled cut? Thanks again for the video!

hello, and thank you for sharing your detailed experience! I'm glad that my video was able to help you. 👍🏽😉 sounds really good so far! However, I'm a little surprised about the time schedule. Normally, the robotic lawnmower should continue from the position where it left off. I would assume that there may be an incorrect overlap with the schedule. Try setting the schedule to every second day instead of daily. Maybe the robot will then manage to mow the area completely before it starts again from the beginning due to the schedule...🤔 Best regards

Thanks for this English based instruction, although I wish the shown screen based controls were also in English. 2 comments: 1) Wouldn't the *_more general_* situation of GPS sensor placement have made it necessary to peg the cable of this sensor to the earth? i.e. the placement of the GPS sensor chosen next to the charging station would not be as typical as it being placed somewhere else in the lawn area where it's cable must be held down (pegged) so it doesn't interfere with the mowing process (navimower). 2) Even after watching the above instructional video, I' m unsure if a "connecting path" must be added to allow the mower to enter (the nearest map path) the charging station

@WordCarr-x4t Hello and thank you for the praise and advice! 😊👍🏼 1. yes, it is definitely advisable to anchor the cable to the ground so that the robot does not accidentally get caught and perhaps even cut it! I may have been a little indulgent. 2. a path to the station only needs to be created if it is outside the mowing zone! So that the robot knows how to get to the station! :) Best regards and thanks for supporting my channel

I have a lawn around my house in a U shape with a lot of tall Thuja trees. And even after reading everything of tips and instructions I'm still confused by the placement of both charging station and antenna, and the requirement for them to be close to eachother. Does the charging station only need wifi? Or does it also need connection to a satellite? If satellite is placed on one side of the house and charging station on the other side, will it cover the whole lawn then. If not, what happens and why? Is it possible to have two antennas to cover whole lawn? Does the mower work if it only has a connection to a satellite? If my lawn becomes categorized as a difficult lawn due to so many tall trees, will installing the antenna on the roof be guaranteed to work? I did an antenna positioning mapping and I got some green/lightblue areas. So I thought that was great, it's on the south east side of the U shaped lawn, with the other end of the lawn on the north west side. But does that mean that the antenna position is viable for the mower to get a sufficient satellite connection around the entire lawn then? It doesn't specifically say that, so it's such poor information for the actual installation of the antenna.

@DefenderX - The charging station itself does not need satellites, but the mower does when it is in the charging station! This is why metal garages, for example, are not suitable! - Yes, the mower can also mow on the other side of the house if the charging station is on the other side - No, as far as I know you cannot connect 2 antennae - No, the mower always needs several satellites to achieve accurate positioning -For many large trees, mounting on the roof is profitable but not always guaranteed. For many large trees, I can say from experience: use the Luba instead! I have already made a comparison video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIiVk5qmedqsfLc Best regards and thanks for supporting my channel

@@TechIllusion-EN update, I used some time testing the optimal antenna and charging station placement with the mapping function in the app. I installed the charging station according to the mapping's suggestion and the mower has been able to mow behind the big trees and on the other side of the house. There's still some tidying up on the other side of the house close to the wall, because I'm working on the wall with a scaffold. We'll see if it's able to take everything. I had to go over the lawn and level it out with dirt, so it wouldn't get stuck in some holes and ditches. Thank you very much for the answers 👍

I was unaware the charging station can't be under a roof. 😢 What happens if you place the charging station under a roof?
@TechIllusion-EN3 ай бұрын
@FJRyder Yes, unfortunately that is the problem with GPS mowers. I had this problem just yesterday with my Luba under a metal garage. The problem is that the devices under a roof or garage most likely no longer have GPS reception. And the robot mowers only start when they can receive enough satellites. As a result, they no longer leave the charging station... :( Best regards and thanks for supporting my channel

@@TechIllusion-EN Thank you for responding. That's too bad. I was hoping the RTK would compensate for lack of GPS. I guess I will just have to find another place to put it. Thanks again.

@@TechIllusion-EN I actually bought the Navimow 110n. I tried placing the charging station under the overhang just to see what would happen. It's been 1 week and so far it works.

What Segway failed to share is that they have place a hard limit to the map range boundaries. If you buy a 1/4 model, you can’t map past that. My lot is 1/4 plus 200feet. I can’t map my full property because of the extra 200 feet. So I have to remap and cut corners so I won’t go over the 1/4 acres. I thought maybe map two separate zones, but nope! You can’t go over at all the 1/4 total. Just another way to force you to buy a more expensive robot.

@PabloJGarcia-ef1uh Thanks for the comment! Yes, that's absolutely right, and I also find it quite annoying. Personally, I can't understand why the manufacturer is restricting the whole thing here. Technically, there will certainly be more to it... Best regards
