Your story is so inspiring! Anyone who claims that you can't make good living as a musician should be presented with this video as a counter argument. You're truly an inspiration ❤

Great presentation. I’m 73 retired from 50+ years in music, tv, radio, voiceover and teaching. Folks were always stunned to learn that in my best years l, I often had a dozen or more streams of income. I was so busy, that I worked 12 to 16 hour days, six and seven days a week. People today think there’s a magic formula or secret to making money. There isn’t. The work is out there, if you are willing.

I’m always in such awe of your talent and technical skill! What an amazing person. What I hear when I watch this video is a lot of hard work and devotion to your craft! Thanks for sharing about it. I started following for the most awesome Logic Pro tips, which are some of the best on KZbin, but you’re so much more than just a producer! A true professional.

I've been following your story for a long time now, and these videos are so valuable. I'm quite a few years older than you, but I have a history in music that has brought me to a place I like, between making music and making content. Thanks for this. Please keep it up.

Hah! Very honest opinion of yourself 'growing up' ! I love it. Most musicians/music players go through this, including to a very lesser degree, me...the hobbyist. The realization that they are 'not going to make it big.' However most of us do make it 'through the day/night.' Great story telling.

I have watched your videos for quite a while now for helpful hints and ideas in Logic Pro not realizing how accomplished you really are. But wow. You are like Super Woman!!! Not much warms my heart more than hearing a success story centered around hard work and passion. Thanks for sharing your inspiring story!

Coming from France, this video sounds crazy. It's a long story but your video explains why a lot of French artists are stuck in their littleness and why Americans artists are producing all the time (and why american music is so recognizable). The real reason (le nerf de la guerre) is money. If you've got nothing, you have to work. And by working -- as you done on those cruises -- you're learning a lot.

Thanks, Seids! Your video has really inspired me a ton, not just this one. I'm just taking a slightly different route. I want to write music for myself and leave something behind before I kick the bucket. So, If you have a concert coming up, let me know! I’d definitely grab a ticket if I can make it.

Thanks so much for your honesty and transparency. It is so inspiring! You are obviously a go-getter and that's what it takes to be successful (along with some talent). I don't know if you've ever dealt with it personally, or addressed it in a video in the past, but I would love to hear you talk about Imposter Syndrome and how you deal with it.
@SEIDS_Ай бұрын
You kind of just have to plow past it and accept that you are not and will never be the best. Talent is something you’re born with, but skills are something you can earn. You earn them through learning and output-over and over again. I also work really hard on my mindset, which, believe me, is an uphill battle. Depression and anxiety are my default emotions, so I have to trick my brain into moving past them. I’m very goal-oriented, so I set up challenges for myself and focus on the goal above everything else. I remind myself to get 1% better every day, knowing that my best songs are still 20 years away. It takes the pressure off. This is something most of us deal with, so don’t feel like you’re on your own out here.
@dalehawkins7187Ай бұрын
Thanks so much for the reply. This is really helpful. Depression and anxiety have been my constant companions for a large part of my life. It's so hard to shut out the intrusive and self-defeating thoughts. I think the goal-setting is something I'm lacking and would probably be super helpful in my case. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is excellent work, and well thought out for those looking to make a living n the music business, which is incredibly hard to do. It takes a lot of drive to maintain this. There is also an incredible amount of talent (I live in Hollywood) so establishing your own "world" is critical. Congratulation.
