⁠@@tommynobakaI'm not sure what's worse these stupid comments "respecting" their driving or these absolute idiots completely shit driving shuffle steering , chopping at the wheel, constantly at wrong rpm in wrong gear, throttle input is sloppy at best, neither car set up properly the suspension spring rates & dampening are not even in the right ballpark hopping and skipping down the road, zero thought given to cool down lucky those brakes were just shy of no return, braking points consistently too early or too late even multiple lift off/brake on exits, cutting blind corners depending entirely on luck there's no oncoming (the main reason aside form less traffic to run mountain roads at night vs day is you can see any oncoming traffic well before it's an issue by their headlights on the tree branches ) these guys are giving Honda enthusiasts & touge a horrible name I'm embarrassed as a dc2 owner & long time touge driver for more years than these kids have pubes.

Neither can drive for shit & neither car is set up properly "needing a sway bar" is an understatement & the least of the setup concerns. If by "Titanium valvetrain" you mean titanium retainers you want steel for a street car the titanium retainers wear out far too fast & constant wesr requires frequent adjustments, Godspeed coilovers are shit, 12k front 14k rear is obnoxiously too stiff for even occasional street use let alone a rough bumpy mountain road, neither car has proper brake setup which should be the first thing addressed, I could go on and on what the hell is a "double" reverse staggered setup? If it's double reversed than it's just standard..... Jesus these videos hurt my brain & destroy my hope for future generations of import enthusiasts.🤦

Eh he over corrected and locked the brakes after he understeered causing him to go straight into the opposing lane. Definetely alot of pressure on him but he did get lucky

Running smaller tires or stretched fitment out back has long been a time attack trick to reduce understeer. I agree a bigger rear sway bar would help too for sure!

This^^^^ A slight stretch on the tires maximizes tire contact patch and better supports the carcass for lateral loading. With proper camber alignment on top of that, usually between negative 2-3°, keeps the tires from rolling over and can aid in rotation. Then the stiffer rear bar becomes the cherry on top. Make sure you include adjustable endlinks, a ball joint style for street use, not spherical joints, to keep the setup from binding too much.

You guys should go to some track days, you’ll definitely learn more about the cars so you know where the limits are for your safety as well as others. The RSX guy needs to learn to not shuffle his hands around on the steering wheel and only do it for very sharp corners, makes for less smooth steering inputs. Learn some left foot braking and you won’t understeer again unless something is wrong, especially with a reverse staggered setup. Cool videos guys just try to be safe and not ruin it for everyone, respect the pass as well as others driving it! 🤘🏻

agreed. the "understeer" looks like it was induced by his steering input. fed the steering wheel way too far to the left and just held it there. the video was just hard to watch in general because of the way the dc5 driver was steering. atleast OP seems to know what he's doing

Driving was insane, but I think that the driving while skilled, it still was very dangerous for anyone else on the road considering that both of y'all crossed the double yellow lines, lost control a couple times, and there didn't seem to be a consistent and clear line of communication between the drivers and spotters that are along the road. Maybe the tension and pressure from competing made it easier to overlook safety concerns, idk just food for thought.

u guys need to readjust ur bump stop where the wheel stops as the bump stop engages at the moment where the tire almost hits the top of the wheel well this will also give u more droop travel allowing those bumpes to be less harsh tougetime on yt has a great vid on it 👍🏽

There is a bumpsteer correction kit available from PCI Motorsports. None of this bullshit Rack Raiser / Inverted tie Rod crap. Properly thought out kit I now run on my 300bhp DC5 Type R. It’s a similar set up to what the BTCC Championship Winning car ran.
