I’m possessing this watch for 4 years now. Wearing kind of frequently especially the first 2 years I wore it every single day. Recently have changed watch’s bracelet as old one rattled. Have a big deep scratch on the dial, accidentally hit the door knob with it. The watch are running decently. Love them.

It looks best on a black leather strap. I have owned several Seiko with the 7S26 and the lack of manual wind was a deal breaker. Both this and the SARB look like homages to the Grammar of Design.

I agree about the strap! Yeah the 7s26 can be a pain to keep going in rotation. If it’s used every day it’s fine, but every other day is already a problem. Thanks for that info on the Grammar of Design! Seems interesting so I’ll do some research about it now :)

Beautiful little watch! I've just put a domed crystal on mine and at first I was a bit unhappy with it but... It has cured my only (minor) issue with this watch which was it's size. I'd have liked just a couple of mm bigger. It adds just a tiny bit and makes it look just a tiny bit bigger on wrist. Now this is my absolute favourite watch over 2 alpinists and skx 013. Love it!!!
@NordicWatchChannel2 жыл бұрын
It’s a great watch! Interesting to hear that a domed crystal makes it appear larger! Good to hear that you found a solution to your peeve😎 Otherwise you would’ve had to go for the sarb035 which is a little larger but similar🤓 it’s nice to hear people telling how they enjoy these Seiko 5’s even if they have ”better” (more expensive) watches in the collection :)

Like you said earlier, you really can't lose buying almost any Seiko 5. Some of them are just "meh" of course, but this SNK line of dressier casuals is getting super popular and will eventually be discontinued. Get them now and the resale value will never be less than what you paid for them, in my opinion. Great review, one of the best channels I've come across and just subscribed. I'm somewhat new to this awesome world of mechanical/automatic time pieces 😀... still in the entry level phase but the collection is growing with Seikos, Orients, Vostok, and others. Take care 👍

Hi! It depends a lot on what you are looking for in a watch! The Snkl41 is a great looking watch and it is also a great deal. Then again, it is a bit lacking in water resistance, so if you want to swim or something with a watch on, then maybe not. I can warmly recommend the Seiko SNKL41 as your first automatic!

Hey! what is the difference to the snxs73 please? i want to chose one of it but dont understand the difference^^
@NordicWatchChannel2 жыл бұрын
For two Seiko 5 models, there are quite a lot of differences! The biggest difference is the shape of the case. The Snxs73 has a very flat case, often called a ”UFO” shaped case. This often leads to a gap between the bracelet/strap and the wrist. They also have differently colored dials, different indices and design on the dial. The bracelets are also different.

Really great review - was lucky to be able to order this watch from Amazon Japan today for around $100 including import fees and shipping to Denmark .............. so thrilled and now the waiting game begins ;-) One question - the Watch Gecko president strap you have on your Sarb033. Do you think it will fit on the SNKL41 ? Perhaps if the original endlinks from the SNKL41 are used ? I have an SNXL79J1 with the gray sunburst dial, where I bought a bracelet from Aliexpress with solid links, and swapped over the original clasp and used the original endlinks, which gave the watch a huge upgrade - would love to do the same on this with a better bracelet like the one you have on the SARB :-) + 1 new subscriber :-) Cheers from Denmark Peter PS: And I can totally vouch for the nordic coffee consumption !! :-)

Finns are a hardy and cool people. And that's a fact. Greetings from Denmark.

Hahah I love that Danes often time hype Finns! Always a great time going to Copenhagen. I have relatives in Denmark too :)

Italy also loves the Finns and the Danes. I can confirm from the Adriatic Sea. (Jeg elsker Danmark og så Finner folket. Også det hårde, men respektable finske sprog. 🇩🇰 🇫🇮 ♥️) But as hard as Danish may be, Finish is the next level. 🫡

The indices are duller than I thought. Still, an excellent watch choice for around $120 U.S.

Do you mean the finishing or just overall? It sure is!

Swap the existing movement for a NH35 🙂

That would be an upgrade, but I find no need for that :)

I bought this watch a couple of months ago and I never use it. The design is great and that is all there is to it. I cannot explain how bad the bracelet is, it is as bad as it could possibly get, feels extremely cheap, like 50 dollar watch kind of cheap. Now, I understand it is not expensive to buy this watch but it is a minus I cannot overlook. Anyone saying, “oh just get a new bracelet” well, when I buy a product brand new and pay €100+ for it then I expect the bracelet to be somewhat refined. Also, the size is a bit too small and it is a fine dress watch (of course if you change the strap to maybe a leather) but I find it suits women more than men. I say save up for a longer time and buy the SARB which I am planning to do.

I get what you mean. The thing is that if you buy a 100 dollar watch from one of the big brands, the bracelet will suck in most cases. That’s where all the companies make their cost cutting on the entry level watches. Ot just makes more sense to save on the parts that can be replaced. Would be great if the bracelets were nice, but just can’t get everything in a 100 dollar Seiko. As for the size, yes it smaller than the sarb. It all comes down to wrist size and preferences. I prefer the size of the sarb as well!

I liked the watch, but when seen on the wrist it looks cheaper

Oh, that’s a bummer to hear! Do you mean on the video or did you get one?

@@NordicWatchChannel from the video, I don't know it seems to lack brightness and robustness, but live can be different. However thanks for the video and for the review

@@HollyJoint My pleasure! It is for sure not the most robust watch in the world haha! But that feeling is mostly because of the bracelet, the case etc. is robust enough. So switching the strap should do wonders!
