I would love to see a video on how to first attach the spring bars to the watch case before threading the NATO strap through.
@NordicWatchChannel2 күн бұрын
I’ll have to make a video on this! But in the meanwhile, you can check out my video on how to remove a watch strap with no tools. There you’ll see how the spring bars work.
@Martin-vc6byКүн бұрын
@ Thanks - a video on that would be great. I’ve seen your video on how to remove with no tools, and I know how spring bars work but still can’t figure out a good way to attach them for NATOs.

Beautiful watch but too small for me. I know it has almost the same dimensions as Rolex submariner but I prefer bigger divers. My SKX is bigger, turtle is bigger, old samurai is bigger, sumo... I almost bought 62mas with that blue, glacier dial (which is even more beautiful than grey version) but thanks to that grey dial almost every strap looks good on that watch so I got grey one.
@NordicWatchChannel2 күн бұрын
Solid choice! Surprising to hear that you find it to be too small. But I guess it all comes down to preferences and what you’re used to. Give it a chance and wear it for a couple of weeks! Usually they strart to grow on you😎

is the dimensions same between gen 1 and 2?
@NordicWatchChannel2 күн бұрын
Hi! To my knowledge, yes. If there are differences, they are virtually unnoticeable. Of course the gen 1 has the date pusher, which makes for differences in the dimensions.

I have the SRPG 39. It's the blue dial with gold. Under normal circumstances I would never sink to get this color but it's absolutely gorgeous. It looks black until you shine it towards the light and you can see it's navy blue in the center and transitions to black on the outside. It also has a distressed case. It is not a high polish which makes it look even more field watchy even though it does have a dressier. Absolute strap monster!!! In my opinion because the case is distressed on the 39 it makes it closer to a field watch in my opinion but also dresses up better. Even without that high polish. It also comes on a thick leather strap and not the bracelet. I'm a woman with a 6-in wrist.

To me it looks like four different reasons to hate NATO straps and buy something else. Option 5: Cut off that extra keeper piece, and use the strap without it.

6R55 is not really much of an upgrade over the 6R35, despite what Seiko claim. It just has a longer power reserve, but the accuracy specs are identical.

Dental floss failed for me this time. I had the bent variant of spring bar and very thick tight fitting leather strap that caused some headache. Had to google how to handle them correct. Ended up making my own tool for my special case. Always something to consider as watchmakers do that all the time!
@NordicWatchChannel15 күн бұрын
Interesting! What whatch has bent spring bars, if I may ask? Yes that’s definitely one way to go! I’ve heard that an old credit card (or any plastic card) can be cut to make a good tool for this.

@@NordicWatchChannel Some dress watches uses bent bars so the leather goes closer. In this case a Sjöö Sandström Royal Capital.
