SEIKO 7548 diver better than the SKX ?

these 7548 were a premium product back in the day. Seiko put a lot of love and money in these. Any seiko made after these are a cost cutting exercise.

That 7548 is a classic. I wish Seiko would launch a Solar SKX007 and 009 with 20mm lugs.

Seiko need to bring these back and the SBCM023 high accuracy quartz. I wouldn't mind an SPB143 with a HAQ movement.

Great watch just bought one what’s been serviced and a new seiko dal strap second hand hits the markers perfect also bezel lines up !!! Better than new seikos of today?

Gorgeous watch, but not the same as SKX etc. In my opinion, it is much nicer than anything else Seiko has made since. Why? My pet peeve is Seiko’s reluctance these days to line the crown up EXACTLY with the 4 index as on this watch. It drives me crazy and is the only reason why I have not bought one of the affordable Willard reissues. Thanks for the video.

Mine was purchased in 1982 here in California. The Suwa logo is to the right of the date window, and there is SQ (Seiko Quartz) logo above the Divers 150m script on the dial. Interesting differences between the JDM and the US Domestic version. Seems more prominent than what we see these days!

My 7548 was bought to replace several unreliable, poor timekeeping and generally disappointing SKX 007 and 009 time pieces. The 7548 is a huge leap forward in reliability yet retains the general attractive appearance of the 007 and 009 models.

Yup, definitely better than the SKX. Quality is high with these. Ive jad quite a few variants. Movement is fantastic.
