I have one of those and I paid much more for it two years ago. It is only worn on special occasions as I wear a regular cheaper watch each day under normal conditions. I still don't know how to operate the features you mentioned, and learned something about the alarm on this watch from this video.

I have the all-silver version of this watch with black face. Looks so much better after swapping the shiny bracelet for a NATO strap

I have this same watch and the second hand stops overnight. Even with a new battery. It has to be something I’ve set on it. It still keeps time.

Great review, what's your thoughts on the Coutura SPC016 ? I got a nice deal for a brand new one, and I am a little on the fence on buying a ten+ years old watch. But since it is new, and not used, I am tempted.

My watch looks slightly different from the one shown. All three sub-dials are the same size and have more increments marked. I would think it would work in the same manner, but I cannot get the stopwatch reset to work.

I bought a Seiko Coutura ten years ago, silver with a black face, battery driven. Excellent watch, no problems ever, not even with the band, just perfect. It still looks great and people often think its new. All Seiko are very good watches, but once you spend up around the $400-500.00 (AU) plus range, you are getting a seriously good watch that will last you well over ten years and hold its own with anything. I would not buy any other brand. My Seiko sits far more 'balanced' on my wrist than any Rolex or Tag watch I have ever worn.

How do you turn the watch alarm on and off? I know how to set it by pressing the button but whilst in position one but I don't know how to actually turn on or off?

Once you pull the crown out 1 notch and hit the "B" Button once, the dial at the 6 o clock position will move away from the original time. When that happens it automatically sets the alarm for the time indicated on the 6 o clock dial. Keep in mind that the Alarm can only be set up to 12 hours. Thanks for the question! Hope this Helps!
