Just acquired the 013 a couple weeks ago and it can no doubt be my only watch if I had to chose one. Chose this model cause it has the ultimate balance of all the Darth’s, IMO. Can’t say enough about it.

I am honored to be the owner of both a Darth SBBN013 and an Emperor SBDX014 Tunas. I own several other great watches but these 2 are just so special. There is nothing else like them. They are very significant in a horological history. I actually wore my Darth almost every day for 2 years. It's just that great a watch. Search for the video where Seiko took one of each randomly off the assembly line and strapped them to a submersible. They wanted to see when they would fail. The Darth quit at over 3000 meters and the Emperor failed below 4000 meters. Unreal! 3 and 4 times their depth rating.

I added a tuna to the collection about a year ago. Complete Seiko nut here and collector. I gravitate towards limited edition pieces for some reason. I considered this one and still may add it - but for now I am very pleased with my SBBN029. A 50th anniversary model with an LE of 700. Materials used here (Titanium), Kanji date wheel, hand style, strap color and Prospex logo on crown (not on dial) are all winners for me. Great review and love the Darth.

Just bought a Seiko tuna Marine Master Ninja today and I can't wait to get it. Like you said it can't be mistaken for anything else. It has its own identity and that's what I love about aswell. The Tuna even graced the wrist of Roger Moore in For Your Eyes Only. So I dig that little Bond connection to the Tuna and yes the 7C46 movement is LEGENDARY. Great review Tunas are iconic and always will be 🤙

Awesome video mate and welcome to camp seiko have a look at SBEX 001 -003 & 005 after that they got lost but those 3 with a high beat movement mmmmmm I have a few times been asked if every thing is ok and my answer was “oh yeah just looking at the second hand of my watch move”. lol have fun

I have the SBDY055 baby tuna. It’s an incredible Seiko diver . You should also check out the first or second generation Sumo watches . I own the SBDC033 Sumo/Blumo and one of Seiko’s best.

I own two baby tunas ( the SRP653K1 automatic with ceramic shroud, and the solar tuna SNE577P1 with almost similar hands to the original Darth Tuna ) i loved them both and i think i 'll buy a Spring Drive next not sure exactly which one yet .. In love with Seiko watches since years now #teamtuna

An awesome watch and no doubt: the Tuna is the best purpose built, pure diver ever made. A design of functional genius! I prefer the autos and think Tuna functionality was perfected with the SBDX013 Dark Emperor. Lets hope Seiko ditch the Prospex X and get back to making more of these leviathans! As for other Marinemasters, have you tried the super rare MM1000 Ti models: SBEX001 and SBEX003 JAMSTEC (built for the Japanese oceanographic institute)?

Haven't seen one in person but yup, know if them - Beasts. Funny thing is that there's a great Seiko vid that shows taking the Tuna 1000 down past 3000 feet with no problem so im sure the SBDX's perform far past there stated 1000 feet. Thanks for the comment!

They changed to the prospex logo. Even when they had Marinemaster on the dial they started the move to taking Marinemaster off the dial to be replaced by the Prospex logo. Still the same watch but only had the S on the crown for a short time.
