I have had this watch since about 2 moths after this vid was released, and wanted to give everyone a quick review. The watch is unbelievably comfortable. Even for a big watch, the thing is comfy. The rubber used in the strap is softer than other rubber straps you will find on watched, it feels nice on your skin and feels like a high quality rubber. Mine has held up amazing. fact that the reviewers indicator did not match up at 0 is the exact same as mine. It is slightly off. You can make it line up by leaving it between a click, and because the turn is decently heavy, it will actually stay there. So you can have the indicator line up, although it really could've been made better in my opinion. I would highly recommend this watch as someone's first Tuna, as it is very comfortable and looks great.

Great video as usual. I am with you on the theory that grey market means it can be misaligned while AD means perfect watches. I tried at least half a dozen SKX007 and Turtles at my AD in Europe and NONE had any misalignment

Just saw two of these go for 435 and 457 on ebay while i was watching this video! I have tried on a srp655 (same case) and it was super comfortable on my 8" wrist. But i just picked up a Padi Turtle so i dont need to jump right into another watch even though this video tempted me. Keep it up!

Shrouds of this type typically are designed to prevent the bezel from turning inadvertently on objects or debris such as coral or rocks when diving. Because the shroud is made of ceramic it reduces the overall weight of the watch. However watches without shrouds are great too! Since Seiko is Iso Certified the chapter ring being off seems to be an occurring issue with Seiko Divers. That is unacceptable under Iso Certification. These issues need to be reported and addressed by Seiko. Their Iso System will correct this issue. Love Seiko's. Love your Video's....

very upsetting hearing the rumor that gray market are defects, even tho you specified it is just a rumor...aside from never experiencing that with my 12 gray seikos, most divers, i immediately went to google to check out this gray shadow...the most reputable comments came upon the great watchuseek forum, i will post the most allegedly knowing here, and then the link to the entire thread which has had the same experience as me, no gray problems...but you and others can read for yourselves. here's the most telling quote that i see as dispelling this: 'Well, it's not about number. It's about the source. The way I understand it, there is an entire industry dedicated to buying up slow moving stock from retailers at a bulk discount, and then reselling them to "gray market" dealers. We see this reguarly with retail stores like TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Kohl's. They sell a lot, but their stock is never newer than say, Nordstrom or whoever carried the original merchandise. The AD likely only hangs on to a few watches at a time and then lets them go to the highest bidder as they are compelled to feature only the newest models in their case. This is, of course, probably outside of boutique brands like Panerai, with low production numbers and very few "new" models...although we do see a small gray market there as well.'

This is a fallacy. The review is uninformed in regard to two issues. There is no evidence that grey market stock is a "clearing house" for defective stock. Indeed the same sort of flaws do happen in AD stock. The packaging also depends which market the watch is sold in. For e.g, USA AD stock is generally supplied in the white box, Aussie stock comes in the dedicated PADI box.

hi again...i did need to respond...hope i didn't sound snippy, but i'd say this is important: i purchased one of these, not a gray market, and got it yesterday. had the same sort of issues of flaws. it had 2 chapter ring markers that were off center with the main marker, which was enough to send it back, but also has the case with uneven and very poor cutting of the case metal for the strap slot, basically the opening for the strap, on the bottom side of case (not back of case). clearly seconds material. after seeing your imperfections, and worse on the one i bought brand new from a 100% ebay seller, i think this particular model with all its glitz & case ornamentation, is being poorly made as a model. i have 2 seiko 5's and 4 SKX divers, all much less expensive than this watch, all gray market, & they are perfect. i'd beware of this model. sent pics to the seller & the next day he agreed to a full refund & paid for return shipping. keep up the good reviews...NOTE, no other youtube reviewer mentioned the misaligned markers like you did...pretty impressive
