I got me the Matcha a couple of months ago. It's just great, from the case size to the play of light on the dial. Plus the black date window is a winner. Really classy.

The Roasted looks amazing with it's greater contrast from the light to dark fume effect of the dial. But I do wish that date wheel was black...

Held the green in the metal just before Christmas here in the UK... Honestly the way it plays with the light is unreal.. unfortunately it was the lack of sapphire that put me off but if they put the dial on a grand seiko it wouldn't look out of place.

The dial does punch way above it's weight. But the lack of Sapphire does kill it.

willard for sure. I wear the blue willard the most out of all my watches. I have a special connection with it. The alpinist reduced I dont actually own but is a much smaller size. 42 vs 38. it really depends on your wrist size and comfort level with small or big sized watches.

I just got one today. The matcha green tea was on sale and I paid 361usd with tax.It's automatic so no winding and has 41 hours of Reserve. It looks and feels great on my arm and I think it is not only a cocktail watch but it's a great dress style watch as well. I look forward to wearing it and showing it off for years to come.Last one in the case though. Maybe they had another in the back maybe they didn't IDK.

I tried on the roasted green tea, and the strap feels really plastic-like and the face doesn't fit well for me. The face is beautiful, and if it fits your wrist, you *may* want to consider buying a new strap.

Nice enough watch but, to my thinking, a fairly middle of the road Seiko design. Both watches sport the 4R35 movement. I do not like this movement for its inaccuracy. Hard-pressed to find a jeweller to properly regulate it.

Fair enough! but just from my personal experience the 4R preforms same or better as a 6R. The lower PR helps it suffer LESS from the effects of isochronism.

@@EscapementWatch I agree with you about both the 4R and 6R. To tell the truth, I am not too crazy about the 6R15, either. I own Seiko SPB051 and the Sumo both of which house the 6R15 movement. They are okay watches for their price but the movement is not great. "Isochronism", that's a big word. I had to look it up. Still, I have a love for Seiko watches regardless of my criticism. Simply put, I was not too excited about the Seiko Matcha watches. I enjoy your channel, by the way.

The green one is more adapt to the surrounding where it does not always look too shiny while in certain light the dial will look good, clear green and shine. With the hands and numbers are made of steel mix polish+brushing give some industrial mechamism feeling which is totally awesome. It is good daily watch. Some of my friends/colleague become interested in automatic watch after seeing my green watch

Just picked a mint used Presage Cocktail time 38.5mm. It is stunning, but quite possibly the worst quality watch you could ever buy for the price. A cheap movement held in by a plastic holder, that runs +72spd. I have since regulated it, but having to do so is ridiculous.
