The accuracy is interesting. If I leave mine face up overnight it will gain about 15 seconds. However, if I leave it vertically '9 up' it will only lose about 4 seconds. Being careful and mixing and matching overnight positions I can keep it almost spot on.

After selling mine I got the spb213, the (not very limited) Limited edition. The tolerances are the same as yours but I do find it actually wears around -5spd. When I put it on a timegrapher it frightens me how off it is but in daily use it’s actually fine.

Beautiful watch and excellent discussion. I could sense your warranted frustration previously but I agree..I think the movement replacement + hands on service to your watch is probably the better path..and now youve been through an adventure with this watch already. I just made a commitment to buy this watch and Im pretty excited. Cheers!

Gnomon was not that great for me. 8 weeks to return the watch after repair. Refused to correct the bezel alignment and l was charged for duty and taxes again when it was sent back. Never again

Yeaap me neither. I got a watch with a huge dust on the dial, which was an obvious QC issue. Gnomon, however, refused to pay returning shipping fee. I had bought multiple watches from them, and thought they are very helpful, but not anymore. I also noticed that they are very responsible to products inquiry emails, but not to complaint ones. Once there is a problem, they are dead silent.

I own a few Seiko watches, specifically a Monster, a Seiko 5, and a Samurai and I tried the SPD143 on at my AD and it’s much more refined feeling than my Seikos. There is a significant improvement in build quality, fit, and finish with a terrific bracelet. He says the bracelet sucks but I don’t agree at all. Ended up buying it. I couldn’t pass it up.

I like buying watches from different brands, but I must admit, I have fewer Seikos simply because bracelet adjustment is such a pain in the backside. There's no excuse.

I have the same watch but instead of seiko it's a SAN MARTIN watch have the same dimension and a 4r35 seiko movement inside for less than 200 us $
