I specialise in collecting independents and high horology time pieces, but I have a soft spot for seiko watches. I have a collection especially in dive watches. Good quality and very wearable.. Seiko are doing great watches at current time with their design and also very functional tool watches. This particular piece is beautiful and very well executed, which am very fortunate to have purchased. A great sports watch. The simplicity a d the waffle bracelet attracted me to this piece. Also love the rubber bracelet that the dive time pieces have. One of the most comfortable in the market.

glad you enjoyed it. I sourced mine second hand from the USA so best bet is to try local watch forums on facebook for local stuff
@dogsarebetterproductions3 жыл бұрын
Awesome! l haven't seen any second-hand on EBay and not signed up to Facebook. I'll probably try and buy it from a retailer in the USD because it seems to work out cheaper that way and I want to have a fresh history with the watch and hopefully get some assurance the bezel lines up. I have a cheaper Alpinist spb123j with the same movement, not completely sure how these are priced compared to say the Alpinist, but from my research most people are saying they are worth it. Like most people, I wish they signed the crowns on both of these watches. I've been wondering how difficult it would be to find a replacement signed crown for these models. All seems like a lot of effort though and it's not a deal breaker for me.
@mracekproductions3 жыл бұрын
@@dogsarebetterproductions really depends if its a straight swap or if the stem is replaced as well. I'm not sure. A signed crown is a nice detail but it's not something thats a deal breaker for a watch, it's not like I stare at the side of the crown all day long ! ;-)

So when the watch has the word automatic on the face does it not mean that no winding or battery is needed and that daily wear is enough to maintain the watches ability to function?

Why can’t they include a day and date complication with a framed window? That would be perfect and not so bland.
@mracekproductions4 жыл бұрын
Because it would look unbalanced and not match the rest of the markers... in my opinion. And I don't find it boring but hey we all have different tastes!If you want a day/date get a seiko 5 sport or an SKX ;-)
@seanliew73434 жыл бұрын
@@mracekproductions but I was just being pragmatic and practical. Sometimes people will lose track of day therefore for me a watch preferably comes with this feature. Unbalanced with markers I am afraid I cannot subscribe to it. Plenty of diver’s watch style comes with this complication. It’s immaterial and it’s a matter of preference to capitalise on margins or even pricing structure.
@mracekproductions4 жыл бұрын
@@seanliew7343 Like I said your opinion and thats fine. As long as I have a date I'm happy...for me...
@96Gilles4 жыл бұрын
Personally I prefer a date window with the date-wheel color matching the dial, so it blends in nicely. I agree with Dale, the look of the day/date windows on the 5kx and SKX doesn’t belong on a watch like this. The only place you should put a day window is at 12 o’clock, in my opinion.
