Orient watches are great value for money and no alignment issues or anything else wrong with them either. Their designs are a bit hit and miss for me though and just don't stand up against Seiko design. I still love them though and own 2 myself. Thanks man!

Wow! That was a fantastic price! I bought mine in early 2021 for $1200 US, retail was $1550. Absolutely love the watch! I also own the previous version which I like even better.

The watch is absolutely beautiful. Dial, indices and hands are one of the best out there. Masculine with pronounced wrist presence. What really puts me off is the disgusting magnifying glass for the date wheel. Come on Seiko!

Ok, misaligned bezel, pins/collars bracelet, stamped clasp, horrible diver extension. These, unfortunately, do not apply just to one watch or several or even several models. You want the basics and want a Seiko, you need to put your hand deeper in your pocket. Way deeper, say x2 the 1400 pounds ! Not sure why but these issues with Seiko have been around for ages, they might be deaf or simply arrogant since nothing has been done so far. The watch isn't just a mechanism and a case. It's the whole thing, it's like wearing a 2k suit with 5 bucks sneakers....Great review as always my friend, it's been a pleasure:)

Great points well made. You can pick these up used for £500 and at that price it is acceptable but for the ridiculous list price no thank you. Still a great watch though.

Love this piece.I found this exact version selling for 1.5k usd.However The white dial with the rubber strap would be my choice if I ever thought to add it to my Collection.At the meantime I'm currently targeting a Doxa sub1500t with the white pearl dial.

Shogun is a good watch but 1500 is a crazy price for it. The white pearl it very nice. I have a video of a white pearl 300t in my KZbin shorts section. Thanks for commenting Bassel.

Black bezel would have been better I agree. There is the first Shogun with the prospex X on the dial sbdc029 from 2015 with an all black bezel. It has round indexes though instead of the triangular ones seen here. Thanks Sal.

looks like the samurai's older more evolved cousin. maybe a rounder case. I think the price is for the design of that case and the titanium. Its a stunning tool on the wrist. nothing like it. spot on about the clasp and cyclops. get rid of them. if you had a rating system, this is right behind marine hui. 4 out of 5 feathers and for the beeeeech! stay freaky captain. cant wait for the duro!

Conspiracy theory: did they muck up the chapter ring to make the bezel alignment look better? Actually, I do like the bezel design, and everything else, apart from the list price and that bloody Cyclops ( Idi na khui!). Plus 30 seconds a day for a grand plus watch, though... I have some £60 - £70 Vostoks that were more accurate out of the box. However, it is a true beast - titanium is maximally saluted. Cheers, Gethin-san🍻!

@@BigT71 The Shogun belonged to Mr Jun. It ran terribly so he opened it up and regulated it himself before selling it. It's very easy to do. I really like that watch but the alignment on the chapter ring was awful and ruined it.
