another great review and suffice to say, a legendary time piece. any watch guy whose wife also has the 013 gets my vote. mine loves hers and it was a gateway to her enjoying some of my own collection. keep up the good work man. great style and great content and anyone who cant appreciate a good caffe made from scratch is missing out on a simple pleasure.

I recently bought a Seiko SKX 009J and wish the face was a little lighter blue in color. Still very happy with my purchase. Wanted one before prices got out of hand and didn't want a knock-off or gray market one, also lume is fantastic!

Since Seiko does not make these anymore, I wear a turtle PADI model. Good value and a good movement 4R hacks, hand winded and running at COSC.

Saw the skx009 and wanted a Pepsi. Bought it, wore it for a night and regretfully had to return it. It was too top heavy and large for my 6-5/8 wrist. Then I found the skx013 and it was a perfect fit. Miss the Pepsi but, wearing the 013, regularly, I’ve never looked back.

On the flip side, I recently went a little larger. Happened to see the srpc 39 blue mini turtle in a dept. store on Black Friday and even though it has a 42mm case it wears smaller and the bezel is 38-39mm that gives it excellent proportion to my wrist size so I grabbed it and have been wearing it comfortably for 3 days and it’s within 3 sec of the atomic clock. It’s good to know that Seiko is starting to size down some of their 44mm divers suitable for the mid-size wrist.

Great video and loved the intro- subscribed by 2mins, although one criticism... your coffee was not strong enough 😁 Just ordered my first six after hating them and not seeing the point in the for so long. Couldn't understand why anyone wouldn't just pay a bit more for a better seiko diver. But a mixture of overspending on Christmas presents and a gambling nature made me think what have I got to lose on a £160/$180 watch! Now just got to wait for that same postman...

Hi JUANFOR, The answer to that question really depends on what your intention is with this watch. For example, the larger SKX007 & SKX009 (at 43mm case diameter) will provide a more bold and sporty style, whereas the SKX013 (at 38mm case diameter) will look a bit more reserved but may be a little more versatile if you were to wear it a little more dressed up. The other aspect to consider is the case thickness is the same for both options (both at 13mm thick). My personal opinion is the larger SKX007 & SKX009 handle that thickness a little better than the SKX013 for overall better proportions. The last piece of advice I can give is that you should check out the on-wrist photos I include in the written review (which can be found here: www.watchspec.com/seiko-skx007-skx009/ ). I provide these for all my reviews to help in this very situation. Note: my wrist is 7 inches. I hope this helps. I have a Seagull Ocean Star diver. Big, solid and beautiful. 44mm but wears snug A bit more expensive than these Seiko divers. I don't dive or wear suits so I just wear anything I fancy. I like my Seiko 5 with gold indices on a stainless steel bracelet. It's my daily wearer.

Hey Neil, I have yet to see a Seagull in person, but it looks nice in the photos as least. And it makes sense that it is more expensive than the SKX with the higher quality sapphire crystal and 8pbs movement with hacking & hand wind. Nice watch man. And I do love my Seiko 5s!
