Seiko SKX007 Vs SKX031 (is the Seiko SKX007 the best OF the SKX Varieties?!)

Just got myself a newish skx031. I love the crown location at 3 o clock and the ceramic insert from factory.

Skx 031 is the sweet spot. 40mm perfect size, crown in the right place. And this is a watch I would trust the 100m rating no question. 007 is too heavy, thick and over hyped.

The intended use of these watches: Diving! And as such the 007 is the better pick. As a desk diver myself, I prefer the 031. I do have an 013 at 39mm, although it wears like a 38mm IMO. So pretty close to the 40mm (ordained by God Himself) Rolex Sub and 031.

I don't go diving so the skx007 doesn't work for me and I found my skx033 fit better on my wrist since it's thinner than the skx007. The bezel also looks better in my opinon amd the watch looks as close as my dad's rolex submariner and due to that thinner profile I can wear the watch in almost any occasion. I'll be keeping tje 007 amd use my 033 as my regular.

clockbait I’d also add that an SKX with a 3 o’clock crown is weird, and bi-directional divers bezels are pointless. You can see where I’m going with this..

007 gets my vote too, 4pm adjustment works well with gloves so definitely a more functional watch but the other is more pleasing on the eyes 🤙

SKX007 Every time, on the jubilee bracelet not a nato? Depth been my biggest bug bear so no dive watch of mine ever on a NATO at a push a Zulu perhaps. I truly love mine, gets more wrist time than most because it’s so comfy and for me the perfect size. 😁

Agreed, I fell for the hype having never even seen one. At £150 from Creation it landed last year and been honest I did not expect much. It’s not perfect by a long way but it’s very special. 😍

Prefer the 031, cuz it’s smaller and thinner. But they’re both charming and good value. So for $300, I’ve got them both! Now moving on to my next first world problem...

farshid rahmani I think the skx031 is better for daily wear. Skx007 is obviously the one to pick for use in water.
