3 years of wearing a seiko Samurai, other than the folded clasp which is functional and solid. I love everything about the seiko Samurai Padi! Even more so I bought another padi just for experimental modifications.

I have one of these and I love it. The problem was that I got tired of looking at the misaligned bezel insert that I sent it to a Seiko modder who swapped out the misaligned insert with a ceramic lumed bezel inert with a red triangle at the 12 o'clock and a sapphire crystal for good measure. Looks gorgeous and I rarely take it off now.

Great review,I have this watch and it’s my new daily wear , I wear another seiko prospex as on weekends. There’s 3 reasons for purchase 1 is the lime I can’t remember the other 2 . She ticked all my boxes and I love the dial effect, keep it up Seiko. Thanks for review

As far as Samurais go, this is definitely The One. Add a domed sapphire crystal from Namoki and you have a very, very special watch indeed. The Strapcode bracelet is also an upgrade but to be honest the standard clasp isn’t that bad on wrist. I love mine.

Thanks for the review Rob. I just can’t seem to warm up to either the Samurai or Monster. They’re just not elegant enough in their lines for me. But I will say that the PADI Samurai seems less stylized and more subtle than the other Seiko PADI offerings. To each his or her own is the beauty of watch collecting. That’s all that matters.

The bracelet is pin and collar but the good kind where the collar is on the inner side of the link. Samurai i think is best on natos and straps. The stock bracelet needs more taper its definitely a chunker.

Beautiful piece, but just look at the scandalous amount of gap where the right-hand side lug meets the end link; crazy - there must be lots of play and jingling when worn. This video is four years old and Seiko has still not addressed this fault, I saw it firsthand when I went to the Seiko flagship store in my city in August 2022 to buy this watch but walked out empty handed. I suppose if the bracelet is removed and changed over for a rubber or leather strap it doesn't matter.

Turtle. Even though it would seem the samurai is less plagued with QC issues? Or at least the alignment issue. Turtle from AD confirmed good alignment and you have a winner.

Definitely the Seiko Samurai. I like the Hamilton but this has an extremely nice quality feel to it & it looks beautiful in the flesh. I'd purchase this first then the Khaki after you've saved a little birthday & Christmas money. 😊
