I have a similar wrist size. I tried thr 42 and it just wasn’t for me. I felt like it was too loud for me. Maybe because I’m not used to it and I’m just getting into watches but I personally felt it was too thick. I like a lowkey look and that’s what I got from the 38.

Cool watch though I feel the black is the least interesting of the color options. The blue and orange are great fun options and the cream dial is the better of the two neutral options. This black just comes off as boring. That said, as a small wristed fellow, the dimensions on this are great. Also, everyone likes to complain about the price, but you can get these around $200, and at that price, they're a compelling daily wear. $325 is definitely too much though. Also lol at people calling a Seiko 5 a "fashion watch". They've either never held a fashion watch recently or don't appreciate how robust some of them are. I've put my Seiko 5's through the ringer and they're all still ticking away. Something to be said for a good looking affordable watch that you can count on without losing your mind every time you bang it into something.

Yesterday, I visited my trusted watch shop with plans to buy the 5kx. However, I ended up leaving with a Casio Edifice instead! Despite the 5kx looking good in pictures and videos, it surprisingly looked and felt cheaper once on my wrist.😂

Dont understand why people bitch about the WR in the 5KX when in most diving scenarios that your average person goes on wont go past 30m. Also wish those older Rowing Blazers models were still around.

100 meters WR doesnt mean it can go that deep, only for light water activities. The 5kx is what the Yachtmaster is to the Submariner. SKX that is a ISO diver and the 5kx that is the over the sea option

I would not buy that because it is a neutered SKX007. They want SKX prices, but without the ISO rating and heritage.

These are 5 sports not skx007 divers at all. As for price, when the skx007 came out in 1996 the retail price was about $300. The 5 sports line was about $175. With inflation they are all kinda in line. Look at the retail prices not what we use to get on discounts.
