Nice watch but 3300 seems steep for a Presage to me.

I’ve owned this watch for about two years now and absolutely love it. Mine is usually on a high-end Staib Milanese mesh bracelet with butterfly clasp from Germany that matches the size and finish of the watch quite well. It is definitely bit, but like most Seiko watches wears very well despite its size.

Knot Watches of Japan will give you their ATC-38, which has the Seiko chrono NE 88 movement, and has a Sallaz polished case from the same polishing process sub-contractor Seiko probably use (no, Seiko below GS level don't do everything in house) for just $900... And some limited editions with a stunningly unique hand finished dial design for an extra $200. Seiko are literally fleecing folks at $3000 for this!

I got one of these upon release, it was a gorgeous watch. I think I paid $2200 new after discount.

wish they'd re-release the seiko monaco (7016). that'd be an instant buy

Nice watch.

I have one with this movement but mine is more vintage styling with Breguet numerals and blued hands. The dial is an homage to the original seiko laurel.

My Seiko 6139-6012 chronograph from 1975 is 14.0mm thick, including crystal. Automatic with day-date complication.

It's easy to sleep on a new Seiko watch because they release 15 new models per day lol

That's a beauty. And I won't say it's overpriced, but I'd probably rather spend less to get the original version of that watch from the 60s, which is (though hand-wound) smaller, slimmer, and little cooler for being a mono-pusher.
@bigmacdaddy123411 ай бұрын
Spending less for the 60's version will get you a beat up watch that will need to be taken apart for a complete overhaul. Why would you want that???
@MeestroDavid11 ай бұрын
@@bigmacdaddy1234 I just love the proportions, look, and simple functionality of the original so much, and I don't expect Seiko will replicate it given that they no longer make any movements like that. I have a 1969 Hamilton Calibre 11 chrono that needed a total overhaul that dragged on for 6 months (including readjustments and other fixes/tweaks) but it only made me feel a tighter bond and a stronger love for it, especially since nobody really makes anything like it these days. I suspect I'd feel the same about the Seiko, and probably moreso because I love that design so much more than the Hamilton's.
